Noise Before The Class Selection

I am guessing it's the advertisers, but this happens as soon as the server connects. Usually the ad will be a video of snowboarding or some shit but recently no video plays and this terrible noise rock comes on. Fuck that noise.

I don't know what exactly this is about, but again, I'm guessing it's the advertisers.

Does anyone else know what I'm talking about?

When you join and it starts playing just click pause on the video or just click anywhere on the video and it will pause it, usually what i do.

It's really not a huge deal. It usually lasts 15 seconds at most.

I just tend to minimize TF2 while I'm connecting to a server so I can pick out some music or do something constructive for a minute and a half.

The problem is there is no video to click pause on. It's just a black screen.

Hmm, sounds like it affects users with a 'not so good' rig, my laptop and the desktop I play on NEVER give me trouble that relates back to the MOTD.

I wonder what's a good minimum to have before you'll get problems?

It stops after you pick a class. Though actually it should stop before the class selection screen comes up.

But by the time you spawn it should definitely have stopped, completely. Do you not see the radio page that follows it?

That's because you don't have flash installed.

Pretty sure you're right. Reinstalled Windows when I added components and probably forgot.

I highly doubt people keep their software updated. Or their Windows for that matter. ._.
