[Dbs] Clan Votekick Abuse

this player has been trying to votekick/voteban me every time he see me playing. Accusing me of crit hacking (which i don't). I'm just better than the average soldier and he can't accept it. I play regularly on 24/7 2Fort | West (x33) 38.105.22.117:27035

Often his votekick fail, but sometimes he get's his [dbs] clan and friends to come on to constantly initiate votes until it succeeds.

Do you have a demo or screenshots of this happening? We do require some sort of evidence to respond to requests like this...

A demo or screenshot of "bbq 'em [dBs]" trying to votekick/ban me daily? No, I did not, but that shouldn't be a problem I could take one, or better yet you can look at the logs.

"Taigos (music)" did come on the server to spec'd me for awhile to verify I wasn't crit hacking. He said he was able to see the logs of the number of times "bbq 'em [dBs]" tried calling votekicks etc and told him to stop. Not sure if "Taigos (music)" was a staff member or not but I know at least he was a member because of the colored name.

Im not a staff or anything was just on and bored and came to see if you were doing anything that would cause them to do what they were doing. But yes they were complaining alot while I was on the server but when I asked them why they didn't demo it they only complained more about it.

Although I may be out of line in saying this, admins tell me if I am, Judging from what i see in BBq's logs he hasn't been votekick/banning you much, i went through a few pages worth and didn't once see a vote kick with your name on it.

At first I thought i saw alot of vote calls but they are mostly all mutes. So atm he hasn't been trying to vote kick as much as you say he is. Leas tif he is they arent being recorded. http://stats.lotuscl...ries/chat/62496

The same goes with the other 3 ID's you posted, no vote kick called at all on 2 of them.

Note: I've gone through logs in the past and noticed that not everything is recorded. Conversations will occasionally be missing chunks.

Abusing privileges is frowned upon, so snag some screenshots or a demo next time it happens. please.

Yea i noticed the logs on the stats page doesn't show everything. Missing conversation here and there. Didn't know if it was limited on purpose for public view or not.

However, "bbq 'em [dBs]" for the past week has tried to votekick/ban me every day he see be come on. He get his clan members and friends to try to start the vote too. Sometimes the misinformed pub members would hear his ongoing rants and just gullibly follow along believing him. He talks and rants a lot over the voicechat.

I'll try to demo/screenshot him trying to kick me again next time i play.

I played a little bit with Hitagi earlier today and I saw nothing out of the ordinary. He's actually a pretty average / decent soldier that just enjoys killing people on 2fort. I haven't seen any spurt of "random crits" or anything even extreme enough or outlandish to even warrant a votekick or anything of the sort. Pretty much just walks around the map, killing people, walks through the sewers, shoots some rockets, heals at a health pack... pretty boring / normal stuff.

What I did notice was some people getting mad accusing him of all sorts of stuff after they would die to him. It was nothing to get mad about, no offense, but I didn't see anything tricky or "pro" about his play style. Just a bunch of whiners on the server that probably notice his score being 300+ on a 24/7 2fort server.

I'm no pro or anything, just slightly better than the average joe pub player.

I utilize intel-cap crits, timely used buff banners and shoot in likely areas people tend to congregate at or camp. Some people die each time there and would cry foul and hacks without understanding the game mechanics. Then there are people like "bbq 'em [dBs]" which not only cry hacks vocally in text and voicechat, but so much to the extent he makes new unknowingly players begin to believe it. All he need is 3-4 of his clan/friend to all join in on votes to initiate one over and over until it passes.

If priveledges continue to be abused, please let us know. I know a few dBs people, so I will look into it.

Just to note anything said in the death mode will not count - i.e. death chat.

Someone could be saying stuff or trying to kick in then but I doubt it'll be all the times you've claimed.

Just record a demo using the console, fraps (or a similar programme) or take screenshots. The more evidence you can gather the easier a job you'll make it for the admins.

It's odd they complain you crit-hack though and try to ban for it.

Many people complain I have lots of crits/crit-kills as pyro but if you use the reserve shooter and axtinguisher it will always be the case.

However, just so you know, I've spoken to my members and we have agreed the votekick will stop for now. However, let this be a warning to "said hacker," you are being watched. You will be recorded in your act and reported to the authorities. I imagine that bind key you have will be used a lot less when a dBs member is around. I have spoken to players who are not dBs and they too agree that you have your on and off switch. It will catch up to you one day. A VAC Ban is no fun. And if you aren't hacking as you say, then you have nothing to worry about and I've done nothing but waste space.

Thanks for your post. I'd attempted to get into contact with bbq em' to see what was up, but his friends list is full. Talked with Uncle Harris some about this report.

If at anytime a cheating player is seen on LotusClan servers, please encourage demos to be posted in the 'Ban Request' section.

Don't let this discourage others from votekick/voteban in the future when it is needed. The voting system is there for a reason.

Looks like [dBs] people decided to ceasefire the votekicks, but unconvincingly still think I cheat so guess I'm under close scrutiny in their eyes. I'll continue playing as I have been for years since I don't cheat and frag legit. You're welcome to record demos in futile attempt to find evidence, there is none, but just do so peacefully without ranting/complaining/qq-ing to others playing the game while attempting. (side note: I guess this would probably keep me from being recruited by [dBs] )

Thanks to the Lotus staff and members for investigating this so thoroughly while keeping opinions/judgement unbiased. More than what I would have expected. 5Stars A+ grade thumbs up.
