Just Launch Operation Arrowhead, and on the main page click on "Profile" create a new character.

*Note you can also change your characters appearance and this will be the new look of your player in DayZ*

I've used SixLauncher too, but Commander seemed more suitable for me. Had a favourite list, downloads updates for you, friendslists and other useful tools

It's really worth the play. There is a bit of a learning curve to the game though, it's really satisfying being sneaky at night and managing to club poor sod in the back of the head with an axe. Been starting to do youtube videos of the game with my squad.

I played DayZ its really funny to play with friends but i dont play this Mod anymore,

because...to many Hackers,to many Traitors,to many Snipers (there everywhere) etc.

After i got killed by a Hacker again i started to play the Ace,Acre mod for ArmA for

more Realism,Tactic,Teamplay etc.

Ot: I dont like DayZ anymore but if you dont have anyone who whants to play with you,

you can play with me then. (Just if you want ^^)

EDIT: Maybe ive got to be have some internet problems so.....on my Site maybe

I still play DayZ every so often, with the newest patch the game loads insanely quickly which is great now! But apart from that, not too much, need to try another mod called "The Wasteland". Supposedly very similar to Fallout 3, with currency and things, sounds great on paper.....but doesn't everything.

Hmm, I just watched some DayZ videos and people were using boats to get to different islands. Anyone know how to do this? I am just getting back into DayZ and the research I have done has not much to say for it.

It could have been a different map (there are multiple maps available to play on DayZ). So could either been a custom spawn config on the server, or probably spawned in by hackers. But boats are generally the same as vehicles, you will come across one, it will be damaged and you will have to find resources to repair it.
