DutchKev 425 #1 Posted March 11, 2013 Ok, so basically i'm aware of binding for example a voicemenu with a letter, so bind "c" "voicemenu 2 6" would make the player shout nice shot when C is pressed BUT what i want to do is:- for example, when i'm playing sniper and i kill someone, he automatically "says fine shot mate" rather than having to press the bind key is there away of doing this at all on kill?? i could bind it to "+attack" BUT he will say it with every shot, even when i miss, if anyone gets my meaning? please say its possible - it would make my sniper sessions so much more fun when combined with the crocodile set
+Dr. Obvious 14,606 #2 Posted March 11, 2013 That wouldn't be a script, that would be a triggered effect... which would get you in trouble with VAC, i guess... (it's basically the same as triggering rightclick when a rocket is shot at you)
DutchKev 425 #3 Posted March 11, 2013 hmmm i thought as much, i guess its would work on the same principle as auto detonation with demo?
+Dr. Obvious 14,606 #4 Posted March 11, 2013 hmmm i thought as much, i guess its would work on the same principle as auto detonation with demo? No, auto detonation seems to be possible with some script... which means, it isn't triggered by the time the sticky is ready, but rather by "i'll rightclick continously until that thing goes boom". DutchKev 425 #5 Posted March 11, 2013 That wouldn't be a script, that would be a triggered effect... which would get you in trouble with VAC, i guess... (it's basically the same as triggering rightclick when a rocket is shot at you) yeah that's a better example of what i was thinking - i can see why it wouldnt really be a good idea then shame really - the other one i'd like to do is shout spy as i stab someone
Climhazzard 654 #6 Posted March 11, 2013 Scripts in general are fine. Scripts that have some sort of trigger effect, not so much. I wish I could do the same thing, but say "Boink" everytime I hit someone with my fish
Ruby 9,039 #8 Posted March 11, 2013 The best you can do is bind it to mouse3 (middle click) or another mouse key if you have it.
DutchKev 425 #9 Posted March 12, 2013 (edited) yeah after further investigation it seem its not possible without getting in trouble, and for the sake of a simple voice command it does not warrant a warning or possibly a ban from VAC.... looks like its back to the bind "c" Edited March 12, 2013 by Dutchkev1983
