Wrongly Banned Out Ignorance

Hello,

I was banned minutes ago when I was doing nothing. The administrator banned me for my pic which he claimed was offensive. My avatar was a Swastika with a white backround. I do not understand why this warranted a ban. I could be on the server with a communist Sickle & Hammer without anyone even caring. Why is my Swastika bad? I have seen other more, prominent players with the Swastika on their Clan Tag item. I just don't understand how Nazis are considered worse then Communists when Communism was a much bigger enemy to America and it's people then Nazism ever was. Stalin caused triple the amount of deaths compared to Hitler, yet people idolize Communism in it's games (TF2 Heavy, CoD, etc.) Banning me for "Disruption" is both wrong and hateful. You are playing a game that emualtes psychopathic mercanaries killing eachother (TF2) yet I deserve a ban. I think many people just have twisted minds that were probably a result of the schools brainwashing tactics. Can you please unban me? If this is going anywhere I will post my steam community link or anything else if needed.

People see the Nazi Swastika as a sign of evil, many teen aged kids, see the hammer and sickle as "cool" because of video games that include a communist Russia, how ever your ban is not in my hands to decide and will just have to wait for a staff member to come in and decide, but games are games, and bringing trying to twist your story around by blaming the USSR and making TF2 sound worse than it is won't do much.

It appears your ban was for server disruption and ban evasion.

I think your focus is off.

We aren't the great arbiters of what is just and right. We are here to keep the peace based on how the general server population feels. I'm interested in hearing from DEATH STRIKE (the admin) who did this, but I could certainly see it as disruptive, which isn't allowed, and would thus warrant your removal from the servers.

Yes I did ban you. I asked you to please change your pic. you did not. I told you I would kick you did change it. So I kicked you not once but twice...you kept coming back. I had given enough warning. Bottom line if you have a pic that YOU know will cause disruption to a server or a person you might want to think twice. In this case I acted because the 98% of the server did not like it. Again YOU could have avoided this and blame me for your actions. LOL!

I am in agreement with DEATH STRIKE on this one. The ban will remain. If you change your icon the ban would be changed to a temporary, one month, ban.

Just wanted to add that I was there last night, and everyone wanted this guy kicked. Death strike was very patient with handling him. =)

I disagree with the notion that everyone wanted me kicked, a vote failed to have me kicked. As a matter of a fact, I have been playing on that server for quite some time with the Swastika and while it was mentioned from time to time, I never had kick votes or ban threats forced on me. I also highly doubt that 98% of the server actually cared. One guy simply pointed out that I had a Swastika as my icon, so what? It's not like a was spewing racial hate in the comments or over the mic. My main complaint is that me having that icon was "Disruptive" and I got banned for it. If it is just a game as HeadSh0tBrent pointed out then my Swastika should be as trivial to the community as the Hammer & Sickle, Communism, and the violence portrayed in-game. The bottom line is that I just wanted to play the game and I did not deserve to be banned because I refused DEATHSTRIKE's demand to change my icon pic, which was not hurting anyone.

It is important because IMO because it is sickening that the Swastika is considered worse then the Hammer & Sickle or the murderous rampage that is portrated in video games. People always defend video games when they are called out on there violence, USSR is constantly portrayed in the entertainment as "Better" or even glorious compated to Nazism. Why?

I have already explained this twice about my insistence to keep the Swastika. Banning me for my Swastika is hypocritical, if you wish to ban me for my Swastika you might as well ban all of these people that have Communism pics. I understand that what the Admins say is what goes, since that is the case then I will not come back to any LotusClan server with a Swastika, it really is sad that people have so much hate for a symbol. However, I will change my pic when I see fit. So if you want to keep me banned because I will not change it immediately, so be it. I wlll just find somewhere else to play. I just hope that you all understand my point when it comes to this "Nazi Hate" and I hope that in the future you will not pour all your hate into something that is no worse then the other concepts that are constantly portrayed.

This is a gaming community, do us all a favour and keep your political/ sexual/religious views and preferences to yourself. For all it's worth I think the ban should stay.

I don't know what you understand by keeping it to yourself. You had a picture depicting the flag of one of the worst regimes that ever existed visible to everyone on the server. I urge you to put up a flag at your home's window and call it "keeping it to myself".
