It seemed fishy, I went spectating and took me a while to notice anything wrong, but finally he started making it fairly obvious. In the second demo you can see him pointing at enemies behind the spawn door several times, spinning his minnigun before enemies turn the corners, and that sort of things. I remember this happening more towards the end. Please bear with me, I don't have time to review the demos and pinpoint any relevant parts at the time I'm posting this.
