TITI 0 #1 Posted June 14, 2013 Hello, today I was in a Lotus 2fort server... while in game I said hello to someone like 5 times (probably more) on chat. after this I killed a few enemies before I died. from here I went on desktop to do something. when I went back in game I got a message of been banned for excessive trolling. I still don't know if saying "hai" to anyone in game repeatedly (maybe spamming) is enough for a ban. I was NOT doing that all game long just for like ~5 seconds. I don't know who banned me but I do know my steam ID STEAM_0:0:21926288. any feed back is appreciated since I play in Lotus 24/7. thanks
HeadSh0tBrent 2,156 #2 Posted June 14, 2013 This is not the first time I have seen you trolling. Prior to this ban, I had gotten reports of you mic spamming and not capturing the intelligence when you have it in base. Next time it will be permanent. I also think this is being nice even giving you another chance.
Kitten 1,813 #3 Posted June 15, 2013 I received the initial complaints and asked Brent to deal with this situation. Here's a sample, with the individuals' names removed for privacy: Here's the demo of the micspamming that I witnessed. Several admins remembered dealing with this individual in the past. Also, his/her steam id has numerous bans, both temporary and permanent, for mic spamming/trolling/language: http://gameliberty.com/sourcebans/index.php?p=banlist&searchText=STEAM_0:0:21926288&Submit http://www.sourcebans.simiancage.org/index.php?p=banlist&searchText=STEAM_1:0:21926288&Submit http://www.tf2newbs.com/sourcebans/index.php?p=banlist&searchText=+STEAM_0%3A0%3A21926288&Submit= http://74.91.112.232/sourcebans/index.php?p=banlist&searchText=STEAM_0%3A0%3A21926288&Submit=
HeadSh0tBrent 2,156 #4 Posted June 15, 2013 I would not oppose changing this ban to permanent, if others found it appropriate.
Chez-Box 3,240 #5 Posted June 15, 2013 I would not oppose changing this ban to permanent, if others found it appropriate. As always my opinion is, might as well. Do it now, or do it in a week when the next complaint comes... which it most definitely will, don't really matter...
Nano 7,892 #6 Posted June 15, 2013 I would not oppose changing this ban to permanent, if others found it appropriate. Since you were the admin who put the ban, that is your choice. It seems clear that you were in the right on this issue, so I've modified the ban accordingly.
