Re: Unban Request, Banned For Griefing

Hey, I recently requested an un-banning of my steam ID:STEAM_0:1:25825399. My request was denied but I may have to go into more detail with why I believe I should not have been perma-banned. I would have preferred on my original post a few days ago if I was able to defend my case, but the thread was closed almost immediately. Some members seem to believe that I was banned from every server individually, but it was actually a single ban that went over to every Lotus Clan server. The original ban I had gotten was from what I saw only a day temp ban in which I was given the vague message "banned for griefing"; I had assumed that griefing meant the time on a 2Fort server that me and a few others were intel spamming, but from the reply's on the thread I had made before clearly it was not that but the names. If my names were the only reason than why was I told it was for griefing, if I was given something more specific than maybe I could have changed those names while on the Lotus Clan servers. Also when I attempted to look up the rules of your servers I found nothing of the sort that would suggest that I be perma-banned. If I was really disturbing the game-play and community of your servers why was I never kicked by the players or vote banned? At the very least show me what exactly I was doing that would have broken the very unclear rules of your servers. On a side note please let me actually defend the allegations against me before closing the thread. Thanks.

This was the original ban request, was for the offensive names, as well as the spam. then with further investigation (a simple Google search of your steam ID) this was not the first time you have received bans from communities for trolling and griefing

All bans on one of our servers ban from all of our servers. Why would we let somebody grief one server, but let them play on our other hundred?
This is a maturity thing, the binds, coupled with your names are a concern because one would have to wonder where your head is at to think that those names are ok, even for internet use, and then when we see how many bans you have received in the past, why would we think THIS is the time you are really going to change? Why didn't you learn your lesson the other times you were banned for shitty behavior?

The only people at this point who could ever unban you is a Lotus staff member. 1 of them issued the ban, and another denied and locked both your other unban requests... your chances aren't looking very good... perhaps just take this as a lesson, and change, so you don't get banned on whatever community you migrate to

Hello.

First, I think Lotus administrators are more qualified than you to debate on the current Lotus ban system. All our bans are global and take effect immediately. This maximizes the effect of our bans and makes sure that a person does not go griefing another server just because one banned them.

Second, first two of your unban requests failed. We usually don't unban for griefing until at least several months have passed and in your case, you've proven immature enough we likely won't do such a thing even then. Your behavior is unacceptable, and the fact that you even choose to have such nicknames is deeply disturbing to the point I am sickened by it. I'm sorry, but you will have to play somewhere else.

Besides the names, there really is not anything that would really warrant a perma-ban, the first time I got banned there was not really any spamming going on from the screen shots I saw. I have "Owned" binded to my taunt key, why is it any different when somebody taunts? It just gives me an advantage when playing because if I say "Owned" rather than taunt which stuns you for like 3 seconds. If as I have stated before it was really that annoying to people; one they could have vote kicked or banned me, which they never did; two they could have gagged and or muted me; three they could have just disregarded the whole thing and ignored me. Also as a side note, as I saw on my ban request I noticed a few people suggested ways to get me off the server such as killing me constantly and doing the same exact thing I was doing, the best way to keep people from doing this is to just ignore them (maturity 101). Next time maybe give your users a better warning of what is breaking the rules by having the server actually post them at the beginning like some do. Chez-Box I appreciate your professionalism in this matter and I believe that most of the other posts are just out of spit. I have been hearing constantly through out this discussion that I have been banned on multiple servers which is untrue and there really is not evidence to show that I am banned on any other servers, this is the only server on TF2 that I am currently perma-banned from.

there are more, but I will stop, there is a pattern of being kicked for grieffing, language, racism, etc. Only one of these is a perm ban still in effect, but the pattern makes us very hesitant to allow our many servers to become home to this conduct...

Once again, only a staff member would be able to turn this over at this point, and I am not one, nor is anyone else who has commented here at this point. I'm just doing my best to shed some light on the entire situation so you know what is happening, and why.

Welp I guess that is that, to be completely honest as I was in the first post, with you I would have stopped my conduct on your servers since it would be my last chance on them. Acting the way I do on TF2 is really the only way I still squeeze some fun out of the game since I have probably like 900 hours played or something since I got the game, I hope most of you realize people don't act this way outside of video games usually, it is just one of my ways of enjoying the game. If that does not make some people happy so be it, so yes I do understand that you guys banned me; honestly if more servers did it I would probably just be like the thousands of other people that sit on a server completely silent and play the game. I appreciate those that have been mature with this matter; and please for the people that believe people like myself are disgusting human beings; it's just a game, everyone has their personas when gaming this happens to be mine, when I have played the game enough that normal game-play is just not enough I act like a dick and it is fun for me. Thanks for the consideration. I guess my time on the Lotus Clan servers is..... Ogre.

While it might be fun for you to act like a mentally challenged 12 year old on heroin, it is not fun for other 23 people playing with you. I have 923 hours. People in this clan have 2000, 3000, even 5000 hours and they don't spam binds or use offensive names.

If normal gameplay is not enough, there is PLENTY of other things for you to consider. MGE, surf, bball, jump, reflect, pugs, lobbies, 10x, randomizer, saxton hale - you name it, modders came up wit it. A bad thing to do is to offend people. Sorry, pal.

If that's the only way you can gain any sort of enjoyment, you shouldn't still be playing TF2, you're just wasting your time. In light of that, perhaps consider your ban to be a favour from us, helping you to move onto something you enjoy more.

No unban and if another unban topic is opened in the next 3 months forum posting privileges will be suspended at that time. The answer isn't going to change because the question was asked again.
