Unban Request - Player: Ns - Reason: Ban Evasion (?)

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I probably have already played on the Lotus servers for more than 400 hours, and never had any problems, until a few weeks ago. The last time I was able to play on a Lotus server was on East Cost #2, 24 players, if I am not mistaken. Then after that day I was never able to join on any of the servers from the clan, with the cause of the ban prompted being " Ban evasion". I can't see how that would even make sense, since I was never banned before. I did not receive any message of being banned while playing, only noticed it after when I tried to enter on one of the servers.

I always play with the name "NS" and in the great majority of the time, as a Sniper. Quite a few times I have been acused of using "aim-bot" around there, mostly by unexperienced players, and was thinking that someone could have thought that I was hacking and reported me to an admin. Also, my ping is a bit high, around 140-150ms (for not living in the USA), not sure if that matters.

And also, not sure if relevant, the same happened to my cousin, in the same day. We were both playing on the same server and same IP. He also doesn't hack and doesn't even play well for someone suspecting that, so I can't see how he could be the reason of the ban.

I don't own a mic and barely use the written chat, and always that I do, I never write anything disrespectful nor abusive.

---- My Steam ID : STEAM_0:0:14052493 ( i don't have my cousin's one, though. Not at the moment, at least. Could provide it if needed)

So I would like to understand why I got banned and, if possible, being unbanned, because playing on your servers is always a very pleasurable experience, perhaps the best servers on the public community.

I appreciate the attention and hope that this can be solved.

The admin who placed that ban will look into it, soon.

There must have been some kind of mistake. The other said "alt"s of the hacker" are people who I play with on the same IP, my cousins, and not other accounts that I have. Also, i have never heard of this "Zapp" person.... Yes, it seems I was in the same match as him that day, but that was so long ago, I have no idea of who he was and do not remember this event, it was the month that i started to play the game, I think.

reviewing

I'm going to have to check this out in more detail when I get home from work. That'll be at least 12 hours.

If it helps I could set my Steam profile to "public", since having it private can be suspicious in some cases.

either pro-loser made a small error, or there is some bull-shitting going on, we will know soon enough either way. My bet is on the latter

if you don't want to make your whole profile public you can just friend me.

It is not a problem, I guess I can make it temporarily public.

My account is somewhat old (2007, I think) and their accounts are new, created when TF2 went F2P, if that is relevant.

~ It's now public.

Alright.

I'm just waiting on information from one other person and then I'll have the answer.

so. short version. unban denied.

long version: on Oct 4th an admin asked me to cross check a steam id of an aimbotter to see if it was an alt. At the time I found they were an alt of Zapp ( as linked above). Yesterday however, I was unable to reproduce my original finding. The hold up was that I wanted to see if that admin still had a demo of the aimbotting, which they did.

Review of the demo shows that indeed they were aimbotting.

The admin summed it up nicely:

I suspected aimbot. In the beginning, it shows him getting a headshot, going behind a wall and knowing exactly where to headshot when he went around. Similar instances occur and then a soldier keeps on murdering him (fast forward through this part and others). Towards the end of the video, it shows him headshotting someone who had been out of sight for almost a whole second.

ban will remain for the original reason, aimbot ( which BTW is what Zapp was also banned for]
