UnBan Request

Recommended Posts

Went to log on last night, server(s) stated I was banned, same today.  No notification, nobody complained.  I'm 40yrs old, don't use a mic and just play to have fun.  Not really sure why i was banned "Reason "unknown".  If you know, please clue me in.

I have suspended my reoccurring payment until this can get resolved.

My steam ID is STEAM_0:0:438882

Thanks,

Ban was put in place by Nano. He is a Lotus staff member. Reason is unlisted. Will have to wait for him to come along for more information / resolution. Please bare with us. :)

Don't bother, if someone want's to flex his Ban-Hammer, so be it.  I have 876 hours on record with TF2 and this is the first server ban I have ever received.  If it was a mistake, I can understand.  If it was intentional, you might want to review your staff member list.

The staff member who made the ban should be here to explain it soon. Sorry for the inconvenience, as he is currently on a vacation.

We have a recurring hacker who visits our servers on various alts.  One of his regular pseudonyms is "Hack Daniels", the name you chose when you joined the server.

For this and a few other repeat offenders we have an exception to the "ask first, ban later" approach we normally take.  Interested admins can see the topic here.

I apologize for forgetting and not verifying that the ban was correctly placed after the fact (which is what I would have normally done).  That was my mistake.

You have been unbanned, but just keep in mind that putting a reference to hacking in your name is probably a stupid move, regardless of whether or not we had the rule about that particular name.  Many hackers also enjoy griefing and parade about with their hacks by putting it right in their name.  Knowing most non-lotus community servers and all of Valve's servers have no regular admins available helps foster the belief that there is nothing that can be done about it by regular players in the moment.
