Morgz' Unban Request

Hello to everyone from Lotus. PBnJ/MorW/MW here.

I know most people here think quite negatively of me because of the disgraceful way in which I departed your ranks. There is no excuse for how I behaved, whatsoever. It was childish, petty, and pathetic.

 

I want to take this opportunity to apologize. I really and truly want to make amends for my behavior.

 

I want to apologize to Fever's friend. I don't know why I felt it necessary to be so rude to someone who was just getting to know a community (they politely asked some people to change classes and I initiated a !votemute on them). What I did was not in the spirit of teamwork, comradery, or even basic human kindness. I was downright nasty to you for no good reason. I'm sorry.

 

I want to apologize to Fever. I stooped as low as name calling. I was acting like a child not getting their way and lashing out at anything I could. What I did was completely unacceptable for any medium. I'm sorry.

 

I want to apologize to Minia. When you messaged me in an effort to get me to see reason I lashed out at you. You were only trying to help me and I was too caught up in my own moronic drama to see that. I should not have directed my negative attitude at you. I'm sorry.

 

I want to apologize to Darwin. I know that this is a different instance, but I still want it to be brought to your attention. I violated so many boundaries over a petty disagreement. I was rude, disrespectful, and worst of all; I broke your trust. I was too strong-headed to simply agree to disagree. I acted like a child. I'm sorry.

 

Finally, I want to apologize to Cactus. There are insults, mean words, and disrespectful phrases, but what I did crossed every line there is. It was downright despicable of me. Nobody should ever be treated like I treated you, Cactus. Words cannot express how loathsome I was. I cannot begin to quantify how badly I feel about what I said to you. I wish there were some way I could take back what I said, but there isn't. So it's time to own up to it and try my best to fix what I've done.

Cactus, I am so, so sorry. I regret, everyday, what I said to you. I would do anything to make amends and atone for this atrocity.

I hope you come home safe and sound without so much as a scratch on you. I wish you the safest of tours.

Morgz:  I accept your personal apology to me regarding the issue between ourselves.  As I said to you recently when you reached out to me, I can only forgive the other stuff on the previso the people specifically involved are also prepared to forgive.  Over to them I guess.  I'm not going to get into what I think about what happened, my opinions have already been made clear to you and the people involved.

I can't add you on Steam either until the others are happy to accept.

I'll start this by saying that I will not be the one to decide whether or not to unban you. Given that I was the one who banned you in the first place, I think that it is fair to ask one of the other Staff members to make the final decision. That said, I will offer my feedback on this request.

 

Given the duration and severity of your bad behavior, and its recurrence after repeated interventions by Members and Staff, I do not support an unban. Specifics and links to threads provided below (obviously only accessible to Recruits/Members/Staff depending on the thread).

 

"I hope you step on an IED. No, wait. Tortured to death. <3" may have been the final straw which led to your ban, but it was by no means the only reason that this happened. 

 

You caused repeated disruptions in the forums, going so far as to post private messages in an attempt to embarrass people.

 

When confronted, you then offered an apology which is very similar to the one in this unban request. 

 

This was discussed by the Members, and more than one got in touch with you to tell you that your conduct was unacceptable. I tried myself, and made it clear that there would be no tolerance for further infractions. At this point, we considered the situation to be resolved. This did not last long.

 

In your final practice with us, you trolled an applicant, initiated abusive votekicks, and called Members "cunts". You were kicked for this. You came back. You kept trolling. You got votebanned. You bragged to others that you had "told off Staff", which made your ban worth it. 

 

You were offered the chance to sit out your voteban and return. You continued to troll. You were banned for longer. You continued to troll. You told me to die. You got banned and removed.

 

All of this took place just one month after your last "humble" apology. After your ban, you sent messages to a number of people making it clear that your previous apology was insincere and just a way to get out of trouble. 

 

I do not believe that it would be a good thing for the Lotus community to allow you to be unbanned. That said, if another Staff member decides to unban you, I would ask that it be done with the understanding that you will only be allowed onto the servers, and that you would never be allowed to be a member of the clan again.
