Yesterday I put a Halloween maps server.  Spells, Halloween items/bosses and donor hat coloring/unusual effects are enabled on this server.

It runs Hightower by default but the other halloween maps are available as well.

The US server should have playable pings for you.  I have a pretty tame internet connection and it is perfectly playable for me.

Same here. TF2center easily takes up 90% of your time if you play it a lot.

I'm going to try spending an hour warming up before lobbies and scrims on an empty server and spamming invites to see if I can fill it up a little with randoms once me and m8's have been playing a while.  Might be interesting to see how long it takes to fill up to at least half full and how long it stays busy after we've left for lobbies/scrims.

It's a console command. Check the donor help thread. It should be something like lotus_setvalvehatcolor for a custom hat and something close to it for the effect.

I was on the Germany Halloween mix server tonight...people were asking if they could use spells...is that something we could add?

...come to think of it that might just be a Helltower thing.
