Canti 386 #1 Posted October 2, 2014 Got this little Celeron thing here, it has 4GB DDR3 memory, with website listing as (up to 8GB) which in most cases means you can have another stick of RAM in there. That's how it's been with every other laptop I've opened, but this one... Not only can I not find a free SO-DIMM slot, but I can't even find the one that's supposed to be there! Do they build them into the boards now? And I even checked the other side of the board after completely dismantling the thing, am I going blind? Anyone have a clue?

Canti 386 #4 Posted October 2, 2014 Lenovo S20-30 Hardware maintenance manual is here but doesn't mention memory: http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles_pub/lenovo_s20_30_s20_30touch_hmm.pdf You can easily find the information by either searching for the manual for the make/model of the machine you can post make/model here and someone will find the answer for you. Done that to death, was mainly wondering if it's possible that the memory is built into the board itself, I have never seen that before but I can't explain it any other way. CPU-Z and AIDA64 do not give any details about the memory at all, it's all blank except for the frequency and timings.
