I'll try and clear up a few things about routers.

1. Your router will have two IP Addresses. one network address (out to your ISP) and one internal address (Called a private Ip Address in the range 192.168.0.0 to 192.168.255.255). These addresses are not allowed on the internet that is why most ppl will have the same address)

2. What your router does is a form of NAT (Network Address Translation) in other words, goes from one address to the other.

3. All routers by default have DHCP enabled (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) which when you start your PC, the router assigns you an IP address in the private address range (depending on what your router is set to). Your ISP address will always remain the same.

4. If there are more than one PC attached to the router, either by Ethernet or Wireless the chances are you might not get assigned the same Private IP address when you switch on.

For hosting you need to allow Port Forwarding on 3 ports, 7174, 7175 and 7177. What this does is forward the information from the internet directly to those ports, but you need to specify an IP Address that these get forwarded to. Now the problem with DHCP arises. If you have not been assigned the IP Address when you start your PC that you have configured these ports to forward to you will not be able to host. It is just a question of luck.

To get round this what you can do is assign yourself (your PC) a Static IP Address outside the DHCP range and use this address to forward the ports to, therefore you will be able to host.

If you use a Firewall aswell as a router, switch it off. A Router is a combined Firewall and router and is far better than any software firewall on your PC.

Hops this helps

Ok, here is my problem... We have 4 wireless computers in my house.. Not even a single 1 can host... When I host, the other 3 computers would see my host on LAN Multiplayer Game... hmm.. You know my problem? And When I log in to my router, I need a password and I don't know what is the password..

Yes I know your problem. You need to enable port forwarding to an IP Address on your PC. As there are 4 pc's you will need to assign yourself a static IP address outside the DHCP range.

As for password what router have you got and I'll try and find out the defaults unless someone has changed yours.
