I don't really want worldedit to be available for normal building, or terraforming. It makes everything less impressive when you know that it was made by world edit in a minute or so.

I agree. It's an administrative tool. The idea of building with world edit is just insane.

The only time I've ever used WorldEdit is to build a fuckhuge sky castle or a fuckhuge underground cavern. The ease with which someone could just "lol I set my wand to change ur cobble into sand/lava/water/obsidian lol" is off putting.

I know we're harping on you about it at this point, but I think it would simplify things for everyone involved if it were a purely administrative tool. Of course, we could always terraform at someone's request. That would also give admins a feeling of importance apart from policing trolls.

I have held admin ranking on several smaller servers, and was  co-owner of another server. I am fluent with world edit and basic commands, (including but not limited to creation of jail zones, jailing players, creating warps, custom colored text and broadcasts.) I have played Minecraft for 1 and a half years, and have extensive knowledge of all types of servers and various types of plugins. Personally I enjoy free-build economy servers, such as HavenTerrace, but also prison servers. I would love to help you run this possible server. I consider myself to be an above average skilled builder when it comes to Minecraft. I am very reliable and trustworthy. If you are also interested in someone to help build server structures, I can send a few images of my past creations to anyone interested. Thank you for your time.

Probably a bit too early for that.

 

The minecraft server idea turned out more complex than initially expected and as such might take a bit more time before we have something official. Or unofficial. Whichever way it goes.

I think to keep things simple chances are we will probably look at getting help from global admins who are willing to offer assistance on a minecraft server but nothing is yet to be guaranteed. Stay notified on the topic

Bought MC when it was in alpha but didnt play in a while (mostly because playing alone is boring...)

So i'd love to see a server with nice people to join.

One question tho: Is it going to be a public server or will it have a Whitelist?

Yet to be decided. The entire server is going to be a model of what the community here votes for. I.E. if we vote for it  to be public or private, you'll find out

The "wecommended amount of detotated wam" kid was awesome. Although at first I thought he was a girl... My mistake.

Either way, I wouldn't go in front a mic in such a place. Yet he did. He doesn't afraid of anything and now there's crappy dubstep remixes of his internet fame.

 

Also that place is scary. I know the video is cherry picking weird questions. But still, If I was one of those devs I would not enjoy myself there.
