*RESOLVED* - Banned for tele-trapping by mistake?

Recently I was playing on one of the Dustbowl servers and I was placing teleporters on the far right of the spawn site. Most probably whoever accused me of trapping people with my teleporters believed they were tele-trap. It didn't look like a tele-trap, my teleporters were not stacking on each other.

 

I actually knew there were players on the server which were making tele-traps before, and presumably I got mixed up with them.

 

IIRC there was another player playing as a demoman, standing on my teleporters. I even took the teleporters myself and demonstrated that there was nothing special and please get out of my way. Some moment later I was kicked out and banned. The message said I was banned for tele-trapping people.

 

My teleporters weren't placed at the spawn entrance to trick people to get in in the first place, not to mention they weren't even tele-traps as I demonstrated. Not a single person was trapped. I have been playing on this server for quite a long time, and I have never made any of those.

 

Assuming I was banned by mistake along with those badly-behaving players, a great proof is to ask the admin that did he/she actually saw anyone trapped in my buildings. Anyway I look forward for the ban to be lifted since I did not made tele-traps and this is a great server. In cases it couldn't for whatever internal reason, how long would the ban be?

I'm the banning admin.  You were not banned by mistake.  You did it intentionally, as evidenced in both demos I have of you doing it.  I sat 2 feet away from the demoman who took your tele, and confirmed the trap by pressing WASD on his keyboard after he took it.  Your ban is for 6 months.

 

There were 3 of you participating in this.  Two did it for nearly an hour and appeared to be buddies.  A third person then did it too for about 5-10 minutes before I joined the server myself to deal with it.  I assumed the third person was not a friend of the other two, but just a random who saw them doing it and decided to join in.  I believe you are that random 3rd person.  Because of that belief, I previously left a note in my ban logs that I might support reducing only your ban, not the other two.  However, now that I see you have no qualms about lying, I've reconsidered that position and decided that I no longer support lifting your ban early.

 

@Staff: Evidence of his trapping can be seen at the end of the shorter demo I posted in my ban logs.  As always, it's up to you to decide if you want to be more forgiving of him than I am.

 

Side note: If you're in a game with me, you're always being recorded.  Lying is futile.
