I was banned when joining?

I really dont know why i was banned, i dont remeber playing on your server and i wanted to join my brother.

 

I really whant to know why i was banned and if it was just a bug please help me.

From what i can see, you've been banned a year ago. I have to reach out to the banning admin why exactly... although it looks like you were banned in the process of elimination on multiple users on one IP.

Me and my brother play on the same network, was that the reason of the ban.

It means you have been banned for a reason quite a while ago, and i'll try to find out what reason exactly.

I'll tell you as soon as i know, which also will be the time when you will know if you get unbanned or not.

Actually, yes, i do. I was just about to post when you posted yourself.

Took me a while to put all pieces together, sorry for the delay.

 

So here's a little history lesson: what happened back then to get you banned.

Apparently, you were shit talking on our servers. Which, per se, doesn't give you a perm ban, but might lead to a temp ban. Which is what happened here.

 

Then, a short while later, someone with the same IP, but a different Steam profile, connects to our servers. This pretty much looked like something called "ban dodging", and that is a reason for a perm ban. Which happened here.

 

Based on that, i'd have to keep the ban in place, especially as the standard excuse for that kind of stuff is "my brother/father/sister/cat/dog/pet rock did it". Usually, at least.

 

After that, i started checking on the profile you said would be your brother. I saw you did indeed play together, the same time, on the same server. Which supports the "it was someone else" theory.

 

As a conclusion, i'll lift the ban for now, but on probation. In other words: you're okay to play, but if you do something that would end up in another ban (which includes, but isn't limited to: hacks), then the ban will be permanent again.

 

You are unbanned. It might take a map change before the unban is registred by our servers.
