Avoid Hangs Playing Br!!!

HELLO guys,

I need help when I am playing the game in skirmish mode my game hangs. I mean a lot even in the start of the game it hangs. I had it, please help me to avoid it at any cost. I tried these things: I reduced the resolution from 1024 to 624 and something, I clicked on an medium population and no horses believing less units less hang. I noticed that I play on a 4 player map the hang-thing is still there. In a 2 player map, like the freedom is still hang. OH my God!!!! what will I going to do? It also happens when I am playing war games...... I made the virtual memory page file higher !!!!.....OMG

my computer information is this.

Memory: 96 RAM

Direct x 9

Video Card: hmmmm..... how do i know if I have that?

What changes i must make to my computer to stop this hanging thing?

your ram memory is too low you should get more ram memory and about the graphic card dont worry you thats not a problem with battle realms....

What is the specific number of RAM recommended in any games alike on battle realms. is it 512 RAM, 128 RAM or 1 GB RAM?

I have 1 GB RAM and 64 MB Video Card.. I never get hangs... by the way is hangs means the game stop? I don't know what is hangs.. But I know what you mean.

Yeah, it is like the game would stop for a while and then it continues some other time. Thanks for the input!!!!

Do you have any program running while running BR?

Nothing... I dont run any programs while playing BR and I download files often to avoid slowdown....hehehe

Do you close any automatic start up program such as Yahoo, MSN, and more?

In your case, i think you should not run any other programs, like Ben said.

I think you can choose what programs run on startup, but i'm not sure how to do it.

Here are how to do it..

For Windows XP only..

Note: If you need any other operating system, just reply and I will post an instruction here...

START--->RUN---->type: msconfig --->Click ok. then a window should pops up and just follow the direction to choose a particular program to run in a start up.

Other operating system? hmmm.... I dont usually explore my PC... I just sometimes click on battle realms and play... If I edit something in that msconfig will it decreases hangs throughout the game? If yes what will I edit? ...

What is your operating system software? Windows XP? Windows XP Multi-Media Edition? Windows XP Home Edition? Windows 2000? Windows ME? Windows 98?

Hmm.. A pentium 4 must need a ram of 128 and above... Also the minimum requirement for Windows XP is 128 and above too.. I think you need to increase your ram. that might be the problem

hmmmm.... That's why we bought my computer a bit cheaper than the others... I need to upgrade my RAM to 128 more.... OMG.... How much it normally cost there in the US?

depens on the number of ram you buy a 512 ram cost about $50-70 dollars, 256 rams cost from about $30-40 dollars.

Ok My friend here shared to me that a 128 MB RAM costs 1000 pesos or less here while 256 MB RAM costs 1000-1500 pesos and 512 RA, costs in 2000-5000pesos. I guess the prices came from 2nd handed ones. I guess their original price is much higher....

Oh, I'm wrong.. I just leave the Philippines for 6 months and now I forget the price of the RAM ahihihi...
