You arent going to get a hard cut rule. Its just common sense. Personally, I hate people who play music. Short sound clips are okay, but people who just hold down the button to play for minutes just annoys the crap out of me. Unfortunately many members and recruits do this and I cant do anything about it. Rick roll was cool in 2007. This it 2008, its time to crawl out of that rock. It really don't take that much effort to have the slightest respect on a server. There are easy ways to belittle someone in a polite way IMHO saying the N word is just wrong. there is no reason to be saying it in the server and as such might as well be kept to yourself. I don't mind swearing as long as it isn't every word, but the gay, nigger, piece of shit crap is just immature. I find it much more pleasurable to put a cap in someones ass then to sit there calling them names. Lotus runs a pretty loose ship when it comes to behavior on a server, but that don't mean to come on there be mean to everyone and wonder why you get kicked/banned. Anyways enough of my ranting.... happy fraggin! EDIT: BTW just hang around camail a bit... he is the line walker in the clan If anyone has a opinion and let's everyone know it, it would be him hehe. I don't say anything in TF2 I wouldn't say in church...you know, like if the priest pulled out an uzi, or if I saw someone sneaking up behind the choir with a knife. I sometimes play in my office, and while I keep the volume relatively low, I'd rather not have to worry about someone walking by and hearing someone shouting racial slurs into the mic. Even if you don't get votebanned...if you annoy me, I'll mute you. If you piss me off (only happens once in a while), I might decide not to heal you, or if I'm against you, I may switch to spy and go on a backstabbing frenzy...in which case your whole team will be sorry:p If you use "gay" or "fagot" as an insult. I'll take the time to explain to you why it is wrong to do that, and open up a discussion about hate speak, and why putting down an already oppressed group is both cruel and cowardly. If you use a racial slur, I'll type in voteban (although it doesn't seem to do anything...but I believe if enough people do it, or the right players do it, it will initiate a voteban...) I'm just typing this out so people will know that even if there's no specific rule against it, your actions in this game could have real repercussions, for instance, just being muted by half your team means that you will no longer be able to work effectively with that half of your team...it means that when you are shouting for the medic to turn around and heal you while you are on fire, you may just burn to death instead. I'd also like to point out that there are plenty of servers out there where mic spamming and racial slurs are actually the norm. If you can only feel comfortable in the presence of other like-minded homophobic racist assholes, please don't let me stop you from joining them on another server.
