This is the middle choice right? The wolf shale mines, right? Correct me if I'm wrong.

There's a hill that have some rice field. THAT is the perfect spot for your base. Build a peasant hut there and start harvesting rice. Take 2 peasants and order them to build another peasant hut at the stream(which located a bit far from that hill) to collect water. You gotta have these proportion of peasants:

Harvesting rice: 4

Collecting water: 2

The upcoming peasant needed to build your training building;dojo, archery range, alchemist hut and bathhouse(do it accordingly). You don't need to build shrine or firework factory or stable. Just focus mainly on producing warriors. Make sure your warrior is all lvl 3(Samurai/Kabuki/Dragon) and you need at least 1 geisha. The wolf will send a huge pack of army, but they mainly lvl 1 or 2, so it's not a big loss to your army.

Now, when the production of army reached about 23, stop training any warrior. Order the upcoming peasants to build watchtower and train a powder keg or archer with upgrade(prefer that boost it range). Put him in the tower. Remember this, because the base is at the hill, plus the height of the watchtower make the archer's hit increase. Task the remainder peasants to harvest more rice. After 300 rice and 150 water, you can build the townsquare. At this point, you peasant that collecting water probably killed because they're vulnerable. When your rice reach 200, quickly build the well. Task 2 peasants to collect water and 3-4 peasants to water the rice field(because the rice field is too dry).

So, at that time:

Harvesting rice: 4

Collecting water: 2

Watering rice field: 3

Total: 9

And after that, train the upcoming peasants back. When your population is full, and your rice+water is max, order the peasants that watering the rice field to build a shrine and 2 watchtower. Make sure to build them on the hill, and at the entrance(there's only 1 entrance, so it easy). Then build a Keep, summon a hero(either Garrin/Arah if you get them). Order a group of patrol around 4-5. Order them to go to the centre of the map( I think). You'll see Gaihla and she's fighting against some pitch slinger. Kill the pitch slinger and Gaihla will join you!

After that, simply follow the mission;Destroy 3 shale mines and a cairn. All located at the east side. Be careful, you might get attacked by a Wolf hero: The Shale Lord.

I hope that's help.....and I hope this is the right map. You're in mission 8-2, right? After you captured the Serpentholm, right? At the middle choice, right?........I typed so much there.....I hope I'm not wrong.... :P
