silvio 0 #3 Posted August 15, 2008 you turn your head with those monitors its not gonna do anything. You turn your head with the goggles and its like turning in the game too, guess you could tape those monitors to your face and get kinda the same effect. FUBAR That CAKE is a spy! 0 #4 Posted August 15, 2008 Hey NoLife, you mean like this? My friend has that rig.
silvio 0 #5 Posted August 15, 2008 The borders on those monitor setups make it look like shit to me , you got these spaces where there is nothing but plastic when it should be a full picture.
monkey 0 #6 Posted August 15, 2008 That is an awful lot of money. Seems like a nice idea, but the implementation seems a bit easy to mess up. EDIT: Most games do not support more than one monitor, and you'd need a hell of a grahics card for more than 2 or so.
Mana 3,867 #7 Posted August 15, 2008 The borders on those monitor setups make it look like shit to me , you got these spaces where there is nothing but plastic when it should be a full picture. I have 3 monitors in my house that could use on my main rig but I only use one when gaming due to the borders. I only use 2 when working on something. You suck and have no life 203 #8 Posted August 15, 2008 Hey NoLife, you mean like this? My friend has that rig. with 1500 dollars u can buy more than triple 19 inches. That would only cost 500 dolars
monkey 0 #9 Posted August 15, 2008 Yea, you can find a 22" for about $250 (Acer sells for $200-$210), so by that count...you can buy 6 with some gas money left over.

DarkClaw 0 #11 Posted August 18, 2008 Woah... I just imagined those Emagin Visors plus the Emotiv Headset... HOLY SHIT AWESOMENESS (If you don't know what the Emotiv Headset is, just Google it). Only thing is that now... you just sit there doing nothing... oh yeah, you wave your head around too XD What would be better is a completely immersive experience... where you actually move your fingers to pull the trigger... run to run ingame... wow... just wow That would be my kind of dream set-up
Nket 16 #12 Posted August 18, 2008 like a booth you go into darkclaw, that would be so awesome.

DarkClaw 0 #14 Posted August 19, 2008 You know what? I just imagined a scenario where someone would be sitting down wearing those things playing FPS games... would sort of look like your having a seizure or something

BobRoss 0 #16 Posted August 19, 2008 A few problems as I see it... 1) how do you turn around 360? 2) My eyes start to hurt looking at a regular monitor for a while...and my eyes aren't inches away from it. 3) My wife tries to talk to me and stuff every once in a while when I play...just one more step removed from reality.
