+Henry Spencer 117 #51 Posted March 19, 2009 When talking to someone in game, there is a bout a second or more period between you talking into your mic and the other person hearing it. So chances are by the time your patient reacts to what you are saying the spy has already killed him, same with the BB pyro. If the pyro or spy is chasing you, then that is completely different. Just don't expect whoever you are healing to react the moment you say something into your mic because it wont happen. In regards to point A, I don't think said medic is an ass, just an oblivious retard. Something I didn't mention earlier that I should of is that when you (as a medic) uber someone, try and make sure you survive it. Its much more beneficial to your team if you survive after the uber than to wait to respawn, people don't just stop taking damage once you die, they need healing. It also allows you to get another uber off in a shorter period of time. When I said "die in half a second", that's just usually how long it takes a BB pyro to kill the average class. Heavy, it'll take a whopping second and a half, maybe. And I'm always keeping an eye on the rear; I look every couple seconds to make sure nothing's coming. Unless we get ambushed, I give them much more than a second to react. And really, if you know I'm healing you, and I'm yelling over the mic, and you're not fighting something, why don't you just turn around and look? The average human reaction time is something like a quarter of a second. Plenty of time to register and turn around.
Is going JDM 0 #52 Posted March 22, 2009 Chamrox's rant describes me pretty well. I yell at people to push, but I rarely push. Then again, I play sniper. My job is to decapitate everything around the cart. Then when they're all dead, you guys need to get your asses on it.
Melissia 7 #53 Posted March 22, 2009 (edited) I'm a nice person. You just suck too much to as a human being to see that. I yell at people to push, but you miht notice that I am almost always pushing. I attack. I attack. I attack. When I am done attacking? I attack some more. Perhaps it comes from playing a Stalker on City of Villains for so long, but I think the best offense is a good offense, and the best defense is a good offense. Push those motherfuckers back to their damn spawn. Ignore that awkwardly placed sentry and just push the damn cart. Keep a few people on the point (so that noone spy/scoutcaps) but go to clear out the right tunnel in dustbowl 1, and the left tunnel in dustbowl 2, the tunnels with gates where the enemy always gathers up. Heck, even as sniper, I'll move up a bit more than most of the other snipers, trying to get the best angle and find new spot to snipe from. So yeah. Simple strategy really. Shoot them, blow them up, stab them, set them on fire. This is a first person shooter, not a first person camper.
