Hi everyone.

Im playing on your servers for some weeks.

Good gaming, funny chatting.

I think I was always a help, playing medic to help my team even if i hate being medic, defended our sentrys, giving all, etc. .

I did it because of the teamchat, and with a good motivation.

Last evening (with the name Sick0) I used a voice-transformer for fun. That should made my voice sound like I am using a phone or walkie-talkie.

I was not shouting, Screaming or whatever.

I just reported spies, said "defend the cart" and whatever.

Some guys didn´t seem to like it .

Someone said something like "I am sure hes just a little boy with a high voice", whatever.

Than they tried to vote-mute me.

(jealous? Nevermind, thats not the point)

I think this was unfair, because there is no difference if i got a old/bad mic, or if i thought it would sound cool.

So I did "retry" to avoid this mute. (I still wanted to help and report while playing, and writing stuff down takes to many time.)

I didn`t see a reason why I should stop sounding like I`m using a phone, because someone didn´t liked it.

Thats the same thing like when ppl attack younger players because of their higher voices.

But I said myself, "ok im now saying nothing more than reporting spies, and I join the other team, i hope there aren´t that much pissed off douchebags"

Whatever, at the moment I reconnected, I saw they started a new vote to mute me.

What the fuck? I didn´t even have a chance to shut up or turn it of, or say something again, vote was almost passed.

So I disconnected.

I thought, if they don´t give me a new chance, i do it myself.

I changed my username to something else, I just read, like "silentbob 4448" or soemthing.

Than I waited for a free slot and rejoined.

After choosing team and class i saw they were vote-banning me.

WTF??? So I disconnected again. I changed my name back to Sick02 (Game said "Sick0" was already in use on this server O.o), turned off the voicechanger, and reconnected.

"You are banned. blabla.."

So I don´t really care what the reason was. Jealousy (they would never admit), or just a demonstraion of might.

I call it abuse of admin- or vote-rights.

If someone really was annoyed by my voice sounding like i`m using a phone, I´m sorry, but at onlinegaming, you have to accept other ppls voices and work as a team. I mean, I tryed my best for a good output.

Like I said: no spamming, screaming, shouting, blowing into the mic or whatever.

Just a voice, that didn´t sounded like the voice of somebody else, what pissed that person off for whatever reason.

Oh, and his brainless "I always vote "yes" on votes my friend/clanmember/clanleader started"-friends + the ppl who like to vote "yes" on votes against strangers, or always vote "yes" if ppl. with a known clantag start a vote.

Whatever, I´m not mad, i`m not guilty of anything,

but I won´t use a voicechanger on your servers again, and make the jealous or drunk, or whatever players on your servers happy again, and support their intollerance against everything that looks or sounds different.

So, please unbann me, or I gotta play on UK:CS again, but there is no nice voicecommunication.

Until now, your servers had the best pro-teamwork team-chatting, and I would like to hear it again.

A lot of the players on your team swapped to mine after dealing with it. They couldn't hear you, you were annoying supposedly, etc, etc.

I wouldn't have done voteban if there wasn't good reason. People were quite annoyed, bud.

2. If you're annoying people with it, KNOCK IT THE FUCK OFF! I didn't vote because I couldn't hear it, but according to the others, it was pretty damn aggravating. And it had to have been, if you got 75% of the people to ban you after 1 vote.

2. Annoying? Getting killed over and over again by the same uber-demo or heavy-medic-team is annoying too, but you gotta deal with it.

Sorry if it doens´t sounded THAT COOL like I thought, but voice-output-volue was abut 70%, so even i it was annoying, the sound of your own gun was at least 30% louder. But ok, i won´t use that morph again.

and about 75% voted yes: i did not changed my team last evening.(just changing to spectator and back to my old team maybe once or twice) so AT LEAST 25% were only voting "yes" because someone with a clantag was starting the vote.

Also, a vote is annoying, because you can´t change your (most likely empty) weapon until you pressed it away, so I always just press upcomming votes away, if I am batteling right now.

Be happy about the 75 %, but does not proof anything.

Even if EVERYONE who could heared me, voted "yes", it should only be 50% max. .

But about the teamchanging: speacially at the late evening, there were always alot of ppl trying to join the winning team. Often by going to spectate, (<--forcing auto-swap), and joining the winning team. Thats what alot ppl were doing that time.

And shouldn´t you do esc->playerlist->mute sick0, or a warning-message before BANNING?

Nevermind, it just was something beside of the real important stuff, the gaming, but my opinion is there should only be the possibility of banning ppl by mods/admins (not members) warning and THAN banning.

Like I said : I only was reporting spies, doing teamwork, and everyone who dosn´t liked the sound of my voice could mute me over the regular menu in about 7 seconds. But why you should, if just banning is this much easier, right? I mean who cares, if it´s just some strangers? Nobody will care about them, right?

I have no idea why you even responded. Your ban was a whopping 30 minutes. It said so in chat: "Sick0 banned for 30 minutes."

Also, we have 1 admin. He can't be everywhere at once. Hence, votekick and voteban.

You "deal" with a pair that's constantly killing you by either getting better/changing your tactics, or by avoiding them. What you DON'T do is say, "Oh well, I guess it was meant to be." You have to be proactive about a problem.

Which is exactly what they did when they voted to mute you.

However, based on what you said, it does sound like the punishment was a bit excessive if you were banned before you could say you'd stop using the voice transformer. A few of the guys on our servers can be dicks, but we're trying to take care of some of them.

And as Henry Spencer has said, votebans are only 30 minutes, so there's no point in making an unban thread.

And for all your talk about it being so easy for everyone to go into their menu to mute you personally, I wouldn't think you'd be in a good position to complain about typing things out because you can't use your "too cool" voice.
