This thread was formed to appeal for a recent voteban.

I was playing on one of your Dustbowl servers when I noticed from a botched attempt at detonating stickybombs that, sometimes, the death from the explosion doesn't blow one's character to bits. Abandoning the central game at hand, I tried to find out what the cause was. Admittedly, this ended up being more fun than it should have, and it did get out of hand on my part. I was doing the "Kaboom!" taunt before each explosion, testing to find out if it was proximity to the mines or the amount of damage dealt that was the prime culprit, killing myself repeatedly and not defending control points alongside my teammates. Two or three players took this with a sense of ire, and began making racist comments regarding suicide, calling to get me kicked off the server. Not one who tends to retort verbally, I began to taunt spam at them, still not being very helpful. I understand this is not mature or sportsmanlike in the least, but neither is the heavy-handed use of baseless, verbal racism.

Eventually, I did get kicked, but I decided to rejoin and, this time, be a helpful member to the team. Those few members did not seem to see this at all (despite having a higher score than one of them), and decided this time that I should be banned, despite not doing anything this time around. It took them three attempts to goad everyone else on the server to get me banned. I found it unwise and a general waste of time to argue with folks who at first glance appear to be thick-skinned, so instead I decided to take the ban and come to appeal on this forum.

I'm an often silent player who frequents the Lotus Clan servers, and would like to be able to play on them again. I've always been under the impression that these servers had a largely relaxed environment where inoffensive hooliganism was condoned. If I'm wrong, I pledge to be a straight-laced player from now on. But surely anything I did wasn't as unkind as the blind, anonymous hatred of a few others.

Is there a period of time in which I can't appeal after a ban? I've been aware of this site and the unban policy for some time, but haven't bothered to create a forum account until now.

Oh, you mean the length of the ban is 30 minutes. I did not get that message at all, and was instead told to create an appeal to get unbanned. Thank you for helping me clear that up.

when ppl are asshats to me i just simply say ya i dont listen to idiots who cant even state there problem before being a douche so i care not what you say..... but if you want to not be a asshat i may listen....

that usually gets them to reluctantly pull there head out of there ass ROFL try that and maybe explain there there isnt a skill req. to use the servers if nessisary lol

I'm sorry if I get a little sarcastic when someone doesn't understand "YOU WERE BANNED FOR 30 MINUTES" the first time I say it.
