DESCRIPTION: I was playing defensive Spy on the third map of Goldrush. I was killed by Bruce(Engineer) numerous times without ever giving him any warning of my nearby presence. I called him out on the server telling him to stop using whatever cheat that he was using to detect invisible spies. He said that he was not cheating and that I should demo him. As expected, he did not do anything as I began to demo him. So, I pulled the oldest trick in the book. I left the server, changed my name, then rejoined. I have over 20 demos of him, but I have uploaded the shortest in length.

Honestly just looks like he's a spam king. None of those demos look particularly suspect except maybe the one where he whips around and kills you on the top right of stage 2. Everything else just looks like random spam. Stalking him for days like that is bound to get you caught multiple times by spam.

Demo1 - Sees me run up the ramp to the health kit so he lobs a sticky up there and detonates it. He then runs up the ramp and places a sticky at my feet and detonates that as well and I die. All very casually.

Demo2 - Lobs grenades at my direction, but when you see the soldier's POV after my death, there are no other enemies there. These were not low-angle shot grenades that happened to roll all the way to me from momentum. He aimed very high so that the grenades can reach the wall that I had my back to.

Demo3 - I can understand where you may see spam, but look closer. Look at the location that he places all of his stickies. They are all at the back wall where he kills the Sniper. When I run through he detonates the stickies he had on the wall while he's hidden from view. When he returns from view he places the sticky at my feet and I die. The sticky is up close and his far left compared to the rest.

Demo4 - I think this video speaks for itself

Demo5 - Sticky right at my feet even though there was nobody else near me.

Demo6 - Get detonated the second I drop under the bridge.

Demo7 - You can clearly see as I approached the cart he began to plant stickies on it. He then detonates those stickies only a second afterwards. Why detonate stickies you just placed on the cart when there's no one else near the cart. You keep them there to protect the cart.

Demo8 - Plants a sticky to the left of me and to the right of me, then detonates. No warning of my presence or position at all.

Demo9 - This one makes me laugh the most. First plants stickies at the gate of map 2, then runs all the way back to me and plants them on my feet.

I have more demos if absolutely none of these convince you.

Not saying he doesn't have some sort of hacks, but I have seen plenty of demos who just randomly throw stickies down and detonate them near them. Don't know whether they think they'll catch spies or they are just retarded, but it's common.

Also, I don't know how long you were following him around, but the guy likely caught on to the fact that you were constantly near him, so spamming random stickies had a huge chance of killing you.

There were plenty of times he walked right past you without doing anything. So either he is a spam king, or he is a hacker who is good at pretending he doesn't hack by never looking at you when he walks past.

It's Mana's decision anyway, just pointing it out.

EDIT: and by the way, the one where he shoots pipes halfway across the map on stage 1 is probably the most suspicious.

Though to be fair, you DID just Cloak and Dagger in the same spot most of the time so he probably caught wind of that. It's entirely possible he saw the flicker of your silhouette when that spy brushed by you, be it when he was dead or across the map, and only bothered to throw pipes in your direction after all the other enemies had been taken care of. Notice he didn't actually hit you directly with any of them, which any half-competent demo would've done if he could see you standing still.

What I see here is a paranoid (I would say prudent) demoman. I watched these last night and came away with the impression that in most cases he was just lobbing stickies/grenades in to areas where spies are likely to be, and you happened to be right there. Like in the last one when he leaves the spawn area and drops stickies and kills you. Everyone knows that spies are likely to be in that area looking for an easy target.

He probably also (correctly) assumed you were gunning for him and was extra cautious.
