Miyari 33 #3 Posted June 17, 2009 Hahahaha, found it. Apparently an 'Enable Stereostopic 3D' option showed up in my Nvidia Control Panel and opted to enable itself.

You suck and have no life 203 #7 Posted June 17, 2009 So here is my question. 3d perception arises because our eyes are spread apart. Each eye sees a slightly different angle in front of us. Our eyes are 3-4 inches apart so objects that are closer are more spread because our eyes see it at two different angles. Objects far away, for example the moon, do not have any spread because it doesnt matter if you move 4 inch to the left or 4 feet, the moon looks exactly the same because its so far away. (Trigonometry) So how come in the picture, the close objects have as much of a spread as far objects? I would expect left and right view of the gun much more spread than the building up ahead. With out the computer actually accounting for distance, its not 3d, it just makes you more cross eyed. example: birds are closer than the tree trunk, it has more spread. That is why "3D technology" is bullshit in the first place. It only gives the illusion of depth perception, not actual 3D perception. That's one of the reasons I don't understand this recent fad towards 3D movies again. It failed once, it will fail again.

That's one of the reasons I don't understand this recent fad towards 3D movies again. It failed once, it will fail again. I just saw "UP" in 3d. Movies actually account for distance. Close objects have more spread and farther objects have less.. you can verify this by taking your glasses off and check the amount of blur for close and far objects. I havent have too much experience with computer game 3d but I wouldn't expect it to be too hard of a thing to do. I do notice that the colors dont look as nice in 3d and it also gives me eye strain and my gaming performance isnt as good.
