This player has been playing on 2fort useast a lot recently and has been pulling off a ridiculous amount of headshots at ridiculous rates. I don't have a demo available showing anything as every time I got to spectate he resorts to running around with the kukri smacking people and the odd time he does decide to snipe while I'm spectating he has a difficult time even coming close to bodyshots.

I threw his steamid into google and the top two results are him being reported for the same issues on other servers and being permabanned.

I'd just like to add in addition to all this after having a chance to read that ban request on the other server with non-exhausted eyes my understanding of all this is that he's using some serious rate setting exploits that basically result in people standing still on his side of the connection for brief periods where he gets to then shoot them without any issue.

This is interesting because it also explains his performance as other classes.

I'd also like to point out something that shows just how ludicrous this all is: His headshot rate.

he ain't aimbotting at all.. isidore is like me i see him all the time play and gaurntee he is not a aimbotter... im a ex-programmer! i made CS:S Aimbots and i know that isidore is not aim botting i've even specated him for a hour flat and nothing, and that was when he was sniping yall he missed alot of his shots but he ALWAYS does try to hit u in the head like i do.

Edit: I fixed the link should work now. Keep in mind this is not an aimbot. I don't even know what the demo would show, the best I could see was that shots killed people without even being on target regularly.

Go read through the linked thread, you know, actually read. Not just one line and then give up because it's beyond your comprehension. There is other hacks and exploits in this game other than aimbots.

ok so what is this exploit or hacks u speak of? your pop ur head out he is aiming in that spot and shoot? i do recall u raging at isidore because he kept killing u while sniping and i've done the same to you as well i've owned u and u raged at me to. U move and then u stand still and aim.. me and Isidore always move and when u stop like u always do u get Head Shotted. I see no hacks or Exploits

If you jack up your rate like that, everyone will appear to hang in place for a brief moment, making for an easy headshot. Exploits like this are not allowed.

not like that kind of exploit i mean you literally standing still to aim at someone and then isidore headshots him. Furkle has been known to not open snipe very well and he trys it alot

Until now I have not participated in this thread but with all the bullshit and falsehood some seem to enjoy to write, I add some details:

"rate hax" like "script hax" is officially supported by Steam through the console mode(~) and especially on the Lotusclan servers as no rate limits have been set by the Admin

"rate hax" allows to optimize gameplay according to the quality of your internet provider, hardware/software configuration of the gaming server and your own machine

"rate hax" is like optimizing the input lag with your 1000Hz polling rate mouse or the cache of your videocard

The 2 main commands for "rate hax" that anybody can setup are "cl_cmdrate" for uploaded packets and "cl_updaterate" for downloaded packets

I will not advise you with any specific values to select because all depends of your own context

I will only say my rates are so high that I need to contact regularly the Admin of the Lotusclan server since I play on the Lotusclan network to ask for a restart of the server when it becomes to laggy (usually, the tf2 server looses 5 ticks a day from the 2nd day after restart). If you really need, the Admin could provide you my current rates at the Admin's convenience

PS: just to make it clear once for all, the first and only server I got a ban request then banned then unbanned (I let you read the "unban" reason yourself) from in my 6-year steam account is the "GTFOGaming.co.uk TF2 #02 2Fort" on which I still play today

I still believe that jacking up your rates so high that you get a brief moment to headshot anyone who peeks out is an unfair advantage, even if done in legal ways. It seems like more of an exploit than anything else, because there is no way Valve ever intended something like this to exist in the game. If I'm reading it right, this means that players with better computers could get a slight edge over those with worse. While that's not too bad, it appears you've taken this concept and gone to great lengths to make it work in your favor. I'll let Josh have the final say though.

honestly i've sniped againist isidore though and he doesn't have any exploits i've killed him a fair amount of times and he has done the same to me. He has done nothing wrong i attend he is mainly on the 2fort server when i get on and we snipe against each other alot and have a great time but yet i dont ever get accused of anything because i dont exploit either so why should isidore? he is a good sniper like me and has done nothing wrong. If u would like go to the 2fort server and check out isidore urself before coming to conclusions i promise u this. He is innocent the thing is the 2fort server is in east coast and isidore is from sweden i dont know if that has anything to do with the rate, but from other games the distance of the server does determine the ping and what not

Well, those threads certainly gave some insight as to how Isi always seems to have the edge on the server, especially with sniping.

Don't get me wrong, I think Isi has skills, you can see that when he plays some of his other classes. Heck he played 700 hours on this server alone, he has plenty of experience. But still after having been here 150 or so myself it still feels "wrong" somehow when playing him.

Especially when he's sniping, going outside was just insane with a near certainty that he was going to hit you, assuming he wasn't reloading.

This quote from that other thread certainly tells that story:

"But at this moment in time you have over 6000 kills with the sniper weapon, with nearly 92% headshot."

Now I'm not discounting, that someone somewhere out there will be skilled enough to pull off stuff like this, have the connection for it, have the computer for it etc etc, but still...

I'm not saying with certainty he's cheating, since to be honest, I don't have a clue. All I can say is is that after 150 hours on the server I still choose to spec him as recent as 'yesterday' because something just doesn't feel right, and he's the only person I get that with.

But then, according to the rate thing above it seems he already had the advantage on many of us, so in that sense, 'to me', that already feels like cheating.
