Anybody Planning On Getting This Headset?

Recommended Posts

Based on your post (and additional research) I ordered and started using the PC350 headphones a few days ago. Comfort is the big issue for me, and I've found "on the ear" headphones to be uncomfortable after a few hours (mostly because I wear glasses). I'm happy with the PC350's... besides being more comfortable, they also sound great. They're pricey but at least I'll use them... I once spent something like $200 on Plantronics wireless headphones that I used for an hour before giving up on them.

That's awesome, I'm glad you like them. I'm going to talk to my boss and see if we can score some kind of deal with Sennheiser to push their gaming headsets, I seriously love this thing and I push it so much on everyone I meet. Also, I totally linked that particular website rather than the technical specifications page on Sennheiser's normal website because the guy was fucking hilarious. I knew you guys would get a kick out of him.

I've tried quite a few headsets and speakers and hands down Sennheiser is the best I've used so far.

I'm currently using a Sennheiser PC 161 headset that gives me the best 360 degree sound that I've ever had before. Never tried the Razer headsets but they'd have to be pretty amazing to get me to switch.

Logitech USB headset = exelent! I have a unopened pair in my closet so when next year my headset stops working i'll have one ready. also I'm taking a picture of my old one and putting it up here. I dont think anyone has an issue with hearing me in game.

I've disliked a lot of Logitech headsets as they only tend to last me 2 weeks - 4 months. And comfort was a big issue with them. I'd never notice how much they had actually been hurting me until I removed them from my ears and the pain would ensue. But after one breaking about 2 1/2 years ago I marched down to Wal-Mart to find a temporary fixer (you know until I could get a better one) and I stumbled across this one.

It's lasted me the 2 1/2 years and sounded perfect with little to no feedback on bad days (as long as I didn't have my speakers on while I used them, though feedback was rare even on that occasion.) until my little foamy thing fell apart. In large part due to my cat nomming on them. Even through that all, it does get a little uncomfortable if I position them wrong or if they slip a little out of said decent position. But the sounds and effects are pretty decent for a mic I only had spent.. maybe 15 dollars+tax on at the time. Fixer mic turned yearly mic. Who'da thunk it?

But now it's getting to the point where I am contemplating on a new headset. Possibly just out of shear need for something new and upgraded.

I wouldn't mind getting a headset, but seriously? $399 for a headset? Dang. I would never spend that much. Maybe $150, but not the equivalent to a new computer. God no.
