redruM_13 17 #26 Posted August 21, 2009 I have a good job, it doesn't mean I am willing "waste" my money on a dual or tri GPU based machine which will loose half of it's value in the next 6-12 months. Playing at a high resolution with full details won't make you play better at TF2. For the most part, my PC is almost 3 years old except for the graphic card which is 9800 GT or GTX that I upgraded later on. I'm still having a lot of fun playing TF2 with that old box and I'm regularly in the top players. However, I might start looking for a new PC that I can keep for the next 2-3 years when the new Intel processors i5/i7 are available. Good mouse, keyboard and Mic can help out a lot. 5.1 surround helps a little too...

Pretty much any wired keyboard will do the job. I like the G5 mouse. I might buy the new G500 if the reviews are good.

Also it has 5200DPI and 1ms response! I tried it with the cable first and then without... feels the same. They just dropped the price on it too: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826153048&Tpk=Razer%20Mamba
Graedus 9 #29 Posted August 23, 2009 I had an MX Revolution for a while. It's comfortable and works generally well. After about a year though it just started dropping it's connection for about a second every now and then. Got really annoying when playing a game. I ended up just taking it to work for it's comfort and there I don't really care if it drops. Ended up getting one of those ugly blue lava G5s for home. The only thing I dont like about it is that it has the same shape as the razer lachesis. I dont know why it gets super wide at the finger tips. Feels hella weird as if the mouse wants to slip out of your hands.
