I Hate Fedex

Recommended Posts

OK so not only does FedEx mangle my packages, steal "direct signature required" packages and insist that they are signed for even though their own tracking page says no signature on file... They also take 5 days to deliver a package that was shipped from a location that's less than an hour away.

I had another shipment sent via UPS the same day via their cheapest ground service from NY as well... It got here the next day.

Online Merchants should start offering a way to choose who you want to ship with. That way if FedEx sucks balls in your area... you can ship with ups.

I used to send a lot of stuff DHL, ANything sent to West of Denver via ground service would fly to Columbus 1st. Talk about a waste of time, energy and gas.

ALso had many times Fedex apparently goes back in time aqs I have looked up packages and they were sent current year and sign for many years ago :P

UPS is my pref carrier, my awesome rates = win

A lot of it depends on location I think. Where I live UPS mangles shit and FedEx is pristine. Either one is about the same time frame for delivery. One thing that does amuse me though with Amazon is that I sometimes buy books from Amazon.uk to get them early and half the time they get here faster than normal Amazon shipments.

The only time I have sent something was through the Postal department. I don't trust people with my package.

Yeah. I get the same problem with the Pizza hut near my house and one half way across town. I guess it is the workers who make mistakes.

I thought DHL stopped doing business in the US, or at least on the consumer level.

Anyway, I love FedEx. Their website is way beyond UPS and DHL. Although, I have been using USPS a lot more lately. Plus, I can pick up some nice big boxes when I go to the post office for my two cats to play in :)

In general, UPS is better for me. FedEx is decent but slower and the boxes tend to be more banged up. UPS isn't perfect but it's definitely better. I also find it interesting that shipping on Newegg is so much cheaper for 3-day UPS...wonder if they've got some kind of deal worked out.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE IN YOUR HATRED. FedEx made the lovely mistake of leaving a supposedly signed for package at my door.

A new 37" tv. This was after the original one was stolen from my doorstep.

Special, special folks.

I just shipped something via FedEx a few days ago. It arrived in town Wednesday morning. I've yet to receive it.

I work in the receiving department of Bed Bath and Beyond, and I have to agree FedEx fricking blows. We get a bunch of damaged freight everyday from them.(We get about 100 to 200 packages from them in a day.) Hell the main truck that comes has boxes thrown about everywhere, some times that freight falls out of the truck as soon as they open the door. Not to mention the guy we get the boxes from smells like 10 tons of shit.

UPS however is neat and professional. Never had a problem with them. :D
