You do need to have the original version to install and play Winter Of The Wolf.

People tend to kick new players, it happened to be aswell at first just keep trying.

As for the hosting problem, you probably have a router or firewall blocking people from joining..

Hello,

If you really wants to host,

Go to Command Prompt, then, type, ipconfig then hit enter,

Take a look at your Default Gateway IP,

type this IP into your browser(Internet Explorer or FireFox)

After this, you will know what type of router you're using,

go to --> www,portforward.com Find your router and follow their intructions
