Battle Realms On Windows7

Question

I just upgraded from win Vista to Win7...

BattleRealms was working perfect on winvista..

It works on win7 too but has many discrepancies:

1. Display is not fullscreen gets compressed from sides. I tried adjusting my pc resolution settings but no luck.

2. Zymeth/Zymeth with orb, when rain BG is used..games becomes too slow...and hangs.

i tried compatibility settings and other options but none of them seems to work.

has anyone got BR run successfully on win7?

Unfortunately I am not aware of a way to run BR in widescreen mode, that is why you get the bars on the side.

Though you might be able to get it to stretch by adjusting your video card's scaling option (Nvidia control panel has this feature).

hey thanks Video's card scaling worked..

It solved that Bars on side problem..

but the Zymeth's rain problem still persist, any suggestion for that. i tried to reduce the graphic detail of the game..

but some how it hangs.

Hi all,

I tried this and atleast it solved 90% of problem, now my Zymeth works perfectly..

In your nvida graphic setting goto display->adjustdesktop size and position ->When using resolution lower than my native..select do not scale.

Yeah this reduces ur desktop monitor size but something is better than nothing.. :P

Have you tried modifying the settings on the file Battle_Realms.ini? Copy it, paste it somewhere (e.g., on your desktop) and edit. Afterwards, replace the old one with the new one biggrin.png

edit: that's how I got battle realms to work on my acer aspire one (1024x600)

A good idea, this might work.
