Ed Del Castillo 0 #1 Posted January 9, 2006 I just wanted to thank all of you for keeping the fire burning for Battle Realms. BR will always have a very special place in Mike's and my heart. We worked really hard to give the RTS community something they hadn't seen before, and still to this day, many of the features in BR have not been attempted in other, bigger RTS's. We have gotten the rights to BR back and now, we own the whole thing. Although I can't make any promises, Mike and I still want to make BR2. We have binders full of world history and data as well as notes for future games in that universe. Our hope is to someday build enough cash reserves to self publish the game. Keep the faith, and someday BR2 will be a reality. Thanks again for your support and love of the game. I couldn't ask for a better Christmas present! Thanks for the news! Some sort of an editor for the current version of BR would be nice too.. us fans could then do more with it (If possible). It IS a special game, although I've played a lot of RTS since BR, nothing was as stunning and amazing as BR. I've played AoM, BfME, WC 3 TFT, Praetorians. They all looked better than BR, at least the units, but graphics doesn't really matter. BR has a lot more to offer. As a big LotR fan I was excitid like a lil kid at Christmas, but I was disappointed quickly, BfME had good graphics but the system totally sucked it was compared to BR stupid as hell! So I still play BR and although I know almost everything about BR it's still exciting to play. What I can't take is that stupid idiots who make out of such a great theme (lotr) such a stupid game like BfME and earn a lot of money, because they influence the kids a lot with advertisements, while a revolution in the RTS community like BR is almost unknown. I've got an idea... what about donating funds?
