Some Tips For You Morons, The Average Tf2 Player

OK. I need to get this out there because some of you are just fucking idiots. Imagine your name is Peter then look at the picture below, that is where most of you currently sit.

Now that you know your place, I will get to raising your IQ when it comes to TF2.

TF2 CHOICES AND YOU

Remember that TF2 is a team based game, it says so right in the name, TEAM FORTRESS. This game was not made by Apple, Steve Jobs did not have his greedy little hands in it, its not call Ifortress for a reason. That reason is because it requires TEAMWORK. Now, noting your IQ level of you average player, I am going to have to give you the definition of team work.

work done with a team.

Notice that team work requires a group. That group needs to work together. When you dont work as part of that group in the interest of the common cause ( Intelligence or cap ) then your team loses. Enough loses and people leave, people dont enjoy losing because their teammates are too incompetent to get the job done.

Part of the team work requirement is that you have proper class choices made. When attacking on a map like Dust, there is never a need for 4 engineers. You are attempting to push forward and for each and every engineer you have, that is one less medic, heavy, soldier or demo you have pushing forward which means, YOU LOSE. This means, if you have to cross a long expanse and you have sentries on the other side blocking, perhaps 6 Pyros is a bad fucking idea. You dont use a hammer to crack and egg do you? What about sand paper to wipe your ass? No.. you dont because that would be stupid right?

There are a specific number of specific classes you need, once you break over that number, you drive your teams chance to win down significantly for no reason.

ENGINEER

Mini sentries are not for defense. They can be used on some maps for that but for the most part, they are fucking useless. 1 rocket, 1 sticky and they die. When defending, they do nothing to stop the enemy, they are a joke and all it does is hurt your own team. Reason it hurts your team is because now you are useless to the team and offering up little to no benefits to it. If you wrangle a mini sentry then you are doubly useless to your team.

Wrangler is a tool that should only ever be used at long range, never in short range. The stock sentry reacts much faster than the wrangler can and offers up better protection.

Stop setting 2 or 3 sentries right next to each other, all that manages to do is set them all up to be destroyed by 1 uber instead of 2 or 3 ubers. All you are doing when you set them up like that is fucking your team over because you are a moron.

When setting up dispensers, make sure to set them up in locations that heavies can use them, fire constantly to spy check and so that they cannot be destroyed by direct attacks.

Stay near your sentry. A sentry without an engineer is useless when sapped. Also, pay attention to other engineers sentries, protect them, repair them, upgrade them, team work!

Get 1 sentry build up to level 3 before you build the others, put it in the most important spot. help build teleporters etc.

All that is required for a good Engineer is common sense.

PYRO

You can do more than press W + Mouse 1 and try to kill things. Pyro is a awesome class when used by an intelligent player.

RULE NUMBER ONE OF PYRO IS THAT THE BACK BURNER IS NOT A FUCKING UPGRADE! I REPEAT, IT IS NOT A FUCKING UPGRADE. Lets look at the pros and cons.

Normal Pyro

PRO - Put people out when on fire, Airblast rockets etc, air blast players

Con - None

Back Burner

Pro - Crits always in back

Con - Cant put people out when on fire, Airblast rockets etc, air blast players, never crits any other time

Backburner has its uses, Hyrdo and Arena and those who are super skilled, most of you are not, all you do is run forward spraying, you suck, stop.

Flare gun, great for those with aim, running back and forth off the battlements of 2Fort, not so much, knock it off morons.

Remember Pyros, you have 2 jobs to do. Airblast Projectiles/Ubers and spy check, if you cant do those, switch classes.

Normal Pyro with Shotgun is a deadly thing when in the right players control.

SNIPERS

You are needed, even two of you are needed, usually 3 or more of you, not needed. If you are playing 2fort, battlements = regular gun. A Huntsman off the battlements is a joke and you only kill those not expecting it the first time and complete retards if more than twice in a minute. Much like with other classes, too many of you limits the teams defensive abilities and damages their chance to win.

Why the fuck would you buy a game that is based on teamwork and then play it as a single player game? Why not just play quake or any of the other numerous single player games out there? If you want to come back with, " He bought the game he should be able to play it how he wants " then I say, "why does that give him the right to ruin everyones fun because he wants to be a douche and sabotage his team"?

I dont know if it is just me but over the last couple of years, the intelligence of your average player has dropped dramatically. Its almost like there has been a influx of special needs people flooding into the TF2 market because you have some of the dumbest of the dumb. What ever happened to all the good people on the lotus servers from a year or two ago? I remember this server having a lot of good and competitive people, some still exist but for the most part, its morons. You would figure the retards I talk about, you know who you are, would be playing on instant spawn, low gravity, party hat and every shot is a crit maps. I never expected so many dip shits to want a server with respawn times.

I miss the good ole days of the 2400 baud modems as well because back then on the Commie 64 and the Amiga you at least had intelligent people to play against because the dumb-asses you have now could not run one of those systems. It weeded out the idiots, morons, dumb-asses, dip-shits and retards, it was the IQ test this server needs. You want to increase the number of players on your server, demand a little more teamwork out of those on it. So many people leave because the team is doing horrible because you have 6/10 players as Engineers, 2/10 as Snipers, 1 Pyro and a AFK Soldier wondering why you cant advance forward.

Its pretty easy to get teamwork happening. Hop on the mic and start pointing things out, give some direction. Ask if anyone else has a mic and you will come to find SURPRISE! More people have a mic then you think. I just tell people if you've got a mic use it, we need to talk to each other. You sir would think Jesus just parted water in front of your eyes. Its a miracle and people are talking! You get people talking you get teamwork going and you start winning. There will always be people who go off and do their own thing. Fuck'em. They're gonna go do whatever.

Team Fortress 2 is a game of Strategy. ALL classes are necessary to complete the round. To form a good strategy, you NEED communication. Like pod said, communicate to your team. Point things out. "Uber pushing on left side" "We need a gun on second point" "Spy demo coming through watch yourself". Once you can communicate, you can form a strategy, you can win. While you still need a basic amount of skill, once you have a whole team, you can really kick ass.

The idiot is spy checking though so he is doing what needs to be done. Regardless, people need to play to further the team, who gives a fuck about your points you get, who gives a shit about achievements or hats, is this a MMO or a barbie doll dress up game? The only thing cared about should be intel/control point capture/defense.

Respect is earned, not given freely. Very few of the players on the server have earned my respect.
