Free Benefits For Lotus Group Members

Hi guys,

I'm thinking of giving some free automatic benefits to all players who join our Steam group. Now this should be something that doesn't clash with our donator benefits, so you can have both.

For now, my idea was to have a special hat of my choosing. But I might go for something else, what do you guys think? Any suggestions?

you know, like our current badges we get from when we purchased the game?

Maybe having a different, larger badge just for us members/donators?

How how about a custom skin, say.. putting "LR" on the back of our characters jersey/shirt/whatever LR for Lotus Regular, LS for Lotus Supporter, LCM for Lotus Community Member, or another catchphrase.

Or what say.. a slightly quicker respawn for community members.

Just suggestions.

And custom skins are kinda CS:S 2006 status. Id prefer to stay away from that.

yes i realize that is in CS Source, heck it was even before that.

We dont have that in TF2 tho so it was an idea.

Giving 130000+ people autobalance immunity would be the stupidest idea ever, also it's already a donor feature.

There's no official server-side support for custom skins, also due to there being so many classes, the amount of files to download would be way too much. If there's ever a custom skin/model it would be for me and/or maybe admins only. As then 1 model could work for all classes without being too confusing

would customizable titles over our heads add extra file downloads? because if not i think that way more fun than a badge

Custom titles would have to be client sided 2 dimensional, so if 1 person is standing looking at them, and 1 person is looking at their side they still see the same thing. Then theres a whole bunch of things with the particle removal so that when you die your words disappear.

And game mechanics like spy cloak and such.
