I assume you want graphics help with your 3-D model?

Well, im not a 3-D modeler, but I definately know whats wrong with the facial structure (im a portrait artist lawl), so i'll help with that. Some of the following suggestions may seem obvious, but I don't know your level of art making and I don't want to leave things out...

-Those lips are very wide -.-" Unless you wanna do the "Shoop da woop" guy, I recommend it be 1.5 times wider than the nose (this is a generalisation: if it doesn't look right then adjust accordingly). If hes smiling, make it 2x wider than the nose.

-Are you making a chibi? If so, that head width is good(ish) but if you're not, then make it less wide.

-Is the head facing downwards? If not, the head is too long. This can also be interpreted as "The Face is squashed". Adjust by shifiting face upwards, or just cut off the top of his head. Remember to add cheekbone structure, which seems to be lacking.

-The sides of the heads do not curve up like that

If you have trouble then just take your own face as a reference. Look in the mirror and observe structure. Hope this helps!

Why only the front shot? Give us side and top so we can analyze better if there is anything wrong with it.

For me, nothing's wrong with it. It's just your brain messing you up. Creativity comes from the right brain and your left, your speech and logical brain tries to be boss. Shut down the blabbering left and let your intuitive right guide you.

Heh. I am impressed by your effort. Making this is very difficult. I tried Maya 3d before but I stopped. I realized that I didn't like it for I cannot stare too long in a computer. I'll just stick with photoshop.

You got a talent there bud. Keep it up!

Sorry for the long delay. I was trying to come up with something for all my hard work.

I'm using Alias Maya. Maya is mostly used for cinematiccs, 3ds max is used for gaming, and Lightwave is used for everything else. Beats me how it got that way. Another thing, just because Maya is used for cinema doesn't mean it isn't used for gaming. F.E.A.R. used it.

Those 3d programs are expensive to buy legally. You can try gmax, a cousin of 3ds max.

Now on with my problems.

Now I've managed to wittle the problem down to her cheeks. The side view ins't so bad, its the front view.

Easy. Start with the body.

You don't have to waste your time on the head if you can start with other parts.

Or how about you make the ear? Form an ear in a different file then just import it to the head and attach it.
