I get that problem only when I end one of my SVCHOST.EXE processes. Your computer probably is having an issue with one of the svchost processes or has a conflict with something. Try restarting your computer, if that doesn't work then check your computer for any type of problems in certain files or run Disk Defragmentor. Sometimes a fragmented system file that controls sound may cause it. Also check your sound cards to see if they are enabled or not. If disabled then enable it. If enabled already then check for updates to that driver. This problem has something to do with the computer and certain vital programs and not the game so installing the download will not help it if it is a sound initialization problem because you will still have it even after getting the download.

In most cases re-installing br fixes these random problems, but I think you're right about this one.
