It seems to happen to me from time to time. I mean, some players have been playing for a while, then they suddenyl get this bogus slot error.

If someone could take a screenshot of it, as well as the console output with saying that they are ABSOLUTELY sure that it happens using the NEWEST file.

I would look into it, because it does not seem to happen on my servers yet (thank the dragons, may they protect our servers from the Valve).

Well i got the new engine today set the server to 31 and fired it up...worked fine and i was useing the other file not the .dll for player limit, But i got a feeling in a future update this will happen again. Oh well until then mates thanks for the mod, now to fix the severe lag spike with the server every half hour...cheers mates.

Edit: spoke to early just got the message of it being out of date again. This is a home TF2 server running on windows. Install directorys are as follows:

engine.dll: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\***username**\source 2007 dedicated server\bin>File here

and the 2 folders go into same directory and write into the tf folder and bin folder same as the engin.dll went, however im confused as to what you mean

"# 5) Now just run srcds.exe with "+maxplayers 32" and you are all set" Do i put that in the server.cfg file to execute with the start up? Or did i misunderstand?

hi,

This has been a great addition to tf2.

I've now having issues getting it to work.

I'm try to run it at 31 players but I still get server errors. Is this working or am I banging my head against a wall for no reason?

Thanks

CK

Updated: November 15th 2007:

This is Windows Only!

Want to host your very own 32 slot Team Fortress 2 server? Well look no further!

The instructions are here:

For those of you who want to use the modified server.dll instead of the player limit remover plugin the dll for the newest update can be found here:

Coming Soon

Doing fresh install. Putting engine.dll and plr.dll in orangebox/bin/ then adding argument +maxplayers 31 for now till TF2 update from vALVE. Is this right?

So what you are saying is that you are trying to run a server using steam? "C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\***username**\source 2007 dedicated server\bin" Steam automaticaly overwrites some if not all .dll files whenever you start the server making this hack useless.

You need the standalone server from the hldsupdatetool. And I suggest using the plr plugin instead of a fixed server .dll.
