BabyEater 5 #1 Posted April 11, 2012 Does Lotus have one? If not you guys should definitely get one, it is far superior in comparison to Ventrilo and Mumble... But if there is a Lotus voice server, i would like to be able to join it and hang out sometimes so does anyone got the info?

Kerberos 3,170 #6 Posted April 11, 2012 I know that majority of Lotus members/recruits use Skype; That could be used to make a big group chat between members and recruits. I Karnt Speel Mariposa Willerms Gotcha Me - of course All use skype. It could be a good idea for an instant messaging, group service. If necessary, conference call, or w/e

BabyEater 5 #8 Posted April 12, 2012 Mumble sucks baaaad, I have had only 1 experience with it and it was TERRIBLE. Skype and i never got along, 100k byte process just for a voice program :/ TeamSpeak is where it's at.

Would be awesome if Lotus acquired a server. @TsT Skype's quality turns to shit when you start inviting loads of people in.

If necessary, conference call, or w/e Other option is for someone to pick up the subscription to the Mumble server when I stop paying for it - it's like $2 a month for 10 slots, $5 for 35 slots, and $7.50 for 50 slots (there are additional options as well). Teamspeak runs around the same cost, though I don't personally know anyone that uses it, so I can't comment on quality, bandwidth use, or speed. I have tried Ventrilo, and found the sound quality poor and latency high compared to Mumble. Mumble has always been fast, and places a minimal load on bandwidth. Kerberos 3,170 #16 Posted April 12, 2012 Your definition of loads? 200+, including sending pictures and stuff through. it was a GFX group chat! Still open to this day, i recieved a helmet which could be submitted to the workshop (3D) through the chat. Top quality, imo. 7.50 it is then. Barbaro 466 #19 Posted April 12, 2012 (edited) You're just mean...! What is teamspeak, anyway? I'm going to eat you Willerms, I'm serious this time, you look like a sandvich that needs some sauce. I once owned a TeamSpeak 3 Server, had a deal for 1.95 for 20 Slots with my provider that also runs mah Killing Floor Server. Canceled since I wasn't intrested in running a clan and KF has its own VOIP.I could reclaim the deal I had if Lotus wants one. Must use or I cancel! |:< Mumble is weird, I can't figure it out. Ventrillo, watch this and then reconsider. TS3 is where it's at! Speaking of Vent, this one is pretty silly. Edit: Actually, since all the games that LotusClan supports with the exception of Minecraft (I think) and Battle Realms (I think) doesn't have VOIP or In-Game Voice Chat. So a Voice Server would technically be useless unless people really want to chat. X.x Edited April 12, 2012 by Ajju

Mariposa❧ 483 #21 Posted April 12, 2012 I dislike ventrilo. As for mumble, I have had no bad experiences with it. Ive used it pretty regularly for the UGC season and it was fine. Though I would prefer people use push to talk because sometimes the background noise gets incredibly annoying and I have to local mute. 7.50 it is then. Send me your paypal through PM I will send 3 months in advance.(+tax) Muchisimas gracias! Maybe we could use this instead of steam to talk. Then the server won't have to be creeped out by Billiams (<33), it'll just be us. I personally talk a lot when I am in game because I dislike dying when I play medic. But meh. I know I would use the mumble server we currently have.

Man I feel sorry for you, not to be offensive but there's so many issues with Steam as it is, ugh....You should hear me talk, I'm like Oh what the fuck or laughing maniaclly as I get over 20 Kills in one life, spamming dat Server Clearing Black Box.
