Kodak 2 #1 Posted May 22, 2012 So, for as long as I can remember, i've been banned from Lotus Servers. Way back, before trading was implemented, when I started to play Team Fortress 2, I jumped into a lotus server, I ran around as a scout for, about 10 minutes, then I get disconnected from the server with a message saying, "Disconnected: You have been baned from this server. Reason: Enjoy, asshat." I didn't know what that was about, so I shrugged my shoulders and moved on. I'm sure there was some mistake, or misunderstanding, of my ban. Not really much to say, of how I could change, I literally got banned from a Team Fortress 2 server within the first hour of me playing the game xD. Anyways, thanks for reading, and I hope that you would at least consider unbanning me . Gotcha 6,307 #2 Posted May 22, 2012 Why are you VAC banned?
Kodak 2 #3 Posted May 22, 2012 It was for Modern Warfare 2, different time, different game. If you really need proof, I can take a screenshot.

Kodak 2 #5 Posted May 22, 2012 Using a third party program, aka Hacking. Aimbotting/Wallhacking. It was a program by someone named "R4zor".

Kodak 2 #7 Posted May 23, 2012 Well no, that was the only game I have "hacked" in. When I got VAC Banned, I crapped myself thinking it was a VAC Source Ban, I play Team Fortress 2 alot, and there is no way i'm going to cheat again, just to get some enjoyment. Not worth it. I don't think i'll be cheating again, if ever.
DEATH STRIKE 573 #8 Posted May 23, 2012 I say keep the ban. There are plenty of other servers. Plus I am sure you were banned for something worth while. Afro said it best. Once a hacker, always a hacker though.
Lahiel 0 #9 Posted May 23, 2012 You guys are ridiculous. For as long as I've known this guy he has never once hacked. You seriously think he could go around hacking on TF2 servers for over 2000 hours and NOT get VAC banned from TF2? You're talking about him like he's some criminal. He has never done anything wrong on any Lotus servers and he does not deserve to be banned from them, regardless of how many other servers there are in the world. You're judging him and not giving him his justice by looking into the matter. You sound like a bunch of elitists.
Lahiel 0 #10 Posted May 23, 2012 There must be some way to look into what happened. Some history of the ban. Something. I know he doesn't deserve to be banned from so many of the servers I play on. He's a good player, and person, and seeing him judged by his VAC ban in a different game from years ago makes me sick. His VAC ban has nothing to do with his time spent on Lotus servers or TF2 at all for that matter and it should not be taken into consideration. I believe him and he can't play with me on half of my favorite servers for no good reason.
Nano 7,892 #11 Posted May 23, 2012 Look I'm all about fairness, but your actions don't become meaningless just because time passes. When you do something, you better be prepared for the consequences, even if they last longer than you want.

To be fair, people don't start hacking on something right away, they do it more when they think they can get away with it.
Lahiel 0 #13 Posted May 23, 2012 I've said my share. I know him. He's a good guy. He doesn't hack. He's appealing because I told him to because I wanted to play with him. In my personal opinion I find it ridiculous that a ban from 2009 where the admin didn't even bother to explain himself can't be lifted. I'm not here to get into a debate about morals or hacking or philosophy. He's a very good friend of mine, a very nice guy and he obviously doesn't hack. I am personally absolutely sure that if his ban was lifted he would be a productive member of the community and I also believe him when he tells me he didn't do anything he knows of to get his ban. He is not a liar, he is not a hacker. This is my two cents. Feel free to add either of us on steam if you feel the need to speak with either of us personally. Just saying, there’s a big difference between “never once hacked” and “haven’t hacked on this game, yet”. My vote is to retain the ban.
Kodak 2 #15 Posted May 23, 2012 I may have hacked in Modern Warfare 2 but that doesn't mean I will hack in Team Fortress 2. It was a different time, and a different game, and I've learned my lesson. I don't see how you could accuse me of hacking in Team Fortress 2, or going to hack in Team Fortress 2. Not everyone that has hacked before, has to hack ever again. I can guarantee you I will never hack again, especially on Team Fortress 2. I mainly trade/idle, so for me to hack, would be stupid. Another reason why I wouldn't hack on Team Fortress 2 specifically, is because I do not want to lose the items I've traded for, especially not the items I've paid cash for. Kerberos 3,170 #16 Posted May 25, 2012 Far too forgiving
Kerberos 3,170 #17 Posted May 25, 2012 Considering we don't even know what he did to get banned in the first place.. Well I'm almost positive Henry Spencer would've banned for a reason though :/ But, just saying you're too forgiving, it's a compliment
Lahiel 0 #18 Posted May 25, 2012 Thank you Afronanny, I was seriously starting to lose faith in Lotus. You're a saint.
