Rurumie 306 #1 Posted December 23, 2012 so.. i'm at parents house (not fun at all, but free food). i've tryed to play about any possible game and the lagg is just to much. so tbh. i have no idea what to actually do. beside whoring the forum and check for manga updates. while spamming people on steam.. so wanted to ask if anyone got some kind of idea?.. idc if it's modelling, source sdk or whatever it is. generally atm i'm bored as fuck and the old ones just watch tv about the whole day, except for 1 of them, actually running a server provider place, but yet he doesn't need any help at all.. so.. any ideas to what i could i use my "precious" time on?... You could also try getting Chris's highframes config for TF2. 10-10mb line, can't dl stuff (else it would take forever on about 25kb / sec or so) + we are 4 who uses it and have televsion on it aswell. while the old 1 is controlling / remoting his servers. trust me. it's not a good combo. i can't even handle games like runescape / adventure quest, due to this lagg.. :s Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

If it is hardware related, then I can second Chris's high fps config, installed it on my crappy laptop last night, it made TF2 much more playable (I miss my rig already). One thing that I enjoyed a LOT when I was about 16 was The Battle for Wesnoth. Its a free turn based RTS, but don't let the fact its free put you off. If you enjoy a game that is simple to pick up, but with a lot of strategic and tactical depth, then give it a shot. It has lts of campaigns, and a very well balanced (and FUN) multiplayer mode. The artwork is directed and looks good (high fantasy theme). Basically, I say give it a shot. I haven't played in a while, but if you see me online, feel free to ask me for a game (it will run on even the shitest computer, and requires very little bandwith for multiplayer). I think its a 300MB download, so not too painful. I should also say it has been updated constantly over the years, so the game currently is still popular.
