People Abusing Lotus Servers As If It Were Their Own Private Server.

I got added by Lockon telling me that he got votebanned from chicago arena server because he was playing the game as it was supposed to. So I joined the server and was greeted by 3 people, 2 heavies boxing and another person just watching. And after who ever won the boxing thing would just suicide ending the round.

Are those 3 players the ones who did the votebanning to initiate the vote? If there's only a few players on the server, boredom strikes and it becomes a melee fest. (No point in shooting when there's only 6 players on the server.)

Or were there only 3 players? Why are you requesting a ban on 3 players who were the only 3 on the server at the time?

My only guess is that on Arena (Most arena servers, not just Lotus) if there's less than 5 people and everyone is trying to melee, it's expected and polite to melee as well. If Lock On was being a dickhead and shooting the players after they say "hey, only melee" or it's obvious every player there is suppose to be meleeing, then that can be annoying, don't you think?

3 players all happy and playing meleeing... 1 player being a douchenozzle and ruining the fun.

I can understand why they put up a vote to ban the person.

True, that Lock On was playing the game "as he's suppose to" but really now... Those 3 players decided the 4th player was ruining their fun, regardless if the game was being played "properly" by the other player.

Lock On's a good guy though. And really... a 30 minute temp ban from non-donators at shit O'Clock in the morning. I really don't think it's a big issue.

Was action taken against these players, or what?

(This is just my opinion that it should be a non-issue though. I know the consensus and the rules state that you can play the game however you wish and it's pretty black and white... Those players were abusing the plugins... But really now.. No need to cry over spilled milk.)
