Ran into a Donator in Dustbowl with a potty mouth today (Racism, to be clear), only caught him in the act twice, but I'm not sure if it's enough for him to get a ban.

I've placed a temporary one-day ban for racism until someone from Staff comes along and figures out what to do with the guy. (To be clear, this is just until his fate is decided by the staff, and to make sure he doesn't go nuts if he sees this thread, as he is registered on these forums.)

Wait, occasionally saying the N-Word a few times (not in excess) is ban-able now? Wasn't there a time where I'd browse the ban forums and see replies like, "Lotus lets people exercise free speech." Or was there a mega-overhaul on "racism?"

(Especially when Combustible Lemons doesn't appear to be seriously intending to be racist?)

I know the matter in this thread is already solved, but I'm just curious.

There is freedom of speech, still is. But if you start to annoy a server or several people within that server, you can get punished.

there's a difference between free speech and offensive speech.... the line is not always easy to draw, but we do our best.
