Spawn Camping?

Does anyone know if spawn camping is against the rules on tf2 lotus servers?

It is not, spawn camping is part of the game in TF2. No server should have it against the rules, or they are clearly idiots.

lol, no problem, and if someone is causing you trouble and tries to kick or ban you just because you are owning them, get their steam ID, or type !calladmin to bring one of us to the server

This little alligator finds spawncamping to deter players from playing. And thus make it less fun to continue playing on the server as it will slowly empty due to something or another.

As stupid and completly unmanly as it is to spawn camp, it boarders on the line of being a griefing action or not. http://wiki.teamfortress.com/wiki/Griefing#Acts_that_may_be_griefing Personally, I see spawn camping as the result of the other team's imcompetence to work, like a team, and leave the spawn to fight. Users who hang aroudn the spawn, especially Snipers who shoot from behind the gates, are prime causes why the spawn is camped in the first place.

Acts that do not constitute griefing

The following are normal behaviors in the game and should be considered as non-griefing strategies:

Killing the same player repeatedly in order to remove a tactical advantage gained by their presence from a defensive or exposed location.

Well, when spawn camping, we are both camping, and killing the same players repeatedly in order to remove a tactical advantage of them going out of spawn

Spawn camping is a 50-50 for both sides. The people spawn camping have an advantage of shooting ON SIGHT as soon as the spawn door is opened. But the other people spawning have an advantage of moving back, lowering the door and getting more ammunition and health. It isn't against the rules and it is a fair deal. Spawn camping is part of the game as the other people posting on this thread have said.

For the record, the only time spawn camping is unacceptable is if you do it and call a Lotus member a sh!thead ;-)
