Barbaro 466 #1 Posted August 27, 2013 Hey, found this as the sudden talk of the week and it just so happened to pipe a question into my head... http://www.wfaa.com/news/education/Alcohol-sold-across-from-new-Dallas-middle-school-221261811.html Where do you guys stand on booze being sold, near hospitals, schools, areas of 'worship', et centra, what are your thoughts on where it can and can't be sold? The link's just another example of what happens when you don't replace the entire "Board of Trustees" that have gone through more Superintendents, than Mike has gone through Crockets. Ruby 9,039 #2 Posted August 27, 2013 Natural selection. People can get intoxicated wherever they want but you should trust them not to make shitty decisions or let them suffer the consequences.
Possum 10,776 #3 Posted August 27, 2013 Sell it wherever. Kids are already exposed a great deal to alcohol, its not going to make any difference where its sold.
fever 9,884 #4 Posted August 28, 2013 It like the "how do we stop people binge drinking" argument, you can't...
Se7en 10,762 #5 Posted August 28, 2013 I'm afraid I like alcohol as well.
+Skaila 5,462 #6 Posted August 28, 2013 Kids will find alcohol if they really want to find it. Though have to admit, I know of another place where they placed similar machines across from a school. Not sure if there were complaints, but nobody cares. Legal drinking age be damned really.
-MW- 5 #7 Posted September 4, 2013 Even if they set up a store near kids, they need an ID to get their booze. Just means the people who will buy alcohol for children have a convenient location.

-MW- 5 #9 Posted September 4, 2013 (edited) In all seriousness though: If someone wants something enough they'll get it. Edited September 4, 2013 by MorW
