koKo_ 350 #1 Posted February 16, 2015 Ok, so anyone who's peeked at my DotaBuff page knows my winrate is at about 35%. Most of this is due to the fact that I solo play way too much and the people on my team aren't reliable. Anyone have any tips on improving winrate and keeping a constant like 50%???? BTW, I lose about 2-5 games for every 1 game i win. That's a huge problem right there. i don't know if it's my teammates or the other team is too good or I just suck. Thx for reading this entire ramble :
fever 9,884 #2 Posted February 16, 2015 I can play a game with you and be your support and I can maybe offer some advice....I wouldn't expect much as I've only played about 560 games but at least I can spot things you maybe should/shouldn't be doing. fever 9,884 #4 Posted February 16, 2015 You're playing a wide variety of heroes it would seem which could also be part of the problem as you're always learning something new. I always play a new hero against bots first until I get to grips with their abilities. Maybe try that. Why do you think your win rate is so low? Looking at your recent games there is nothing which massively stands out apart from the odd rough game but we all have those. Don't worry too much, but try to reflect on what you think went wrong when you lost, maybe you could have done something about it, maybe not. Sometimes its out of your control. I looked at your "Trends" graph on DotaBuff and all of your graphs (aside from win rate) are heading in the right direction at least so there is that. I set myself a few goals like...focusing on one particular hero for a few days and then trying to get the average number of deaths down, the last hits up to a certain point, get a key item by a certain time. This gives you something to aim for which is an indicator of progress if you can improve on past performances. I ain't no expert, but thats what I do. I should add I think you're doing the right thing playing lots of different heros as you'll no doubt understand them all quicker than focusing on the same ones like I did. It may take you longer to become sufficient at them though as you're playing them less frequently.

The Hungry Caterpillar 585 #8 Posted February 16, 2015 If you want a 60% winrate you have to play one hero and get insane at it, learn the game in a comfortable environment first with a hero you really know, and then builds and styles for other heroes can come from watching while you destroy the other team.

Lol do you know how much time i've spent watching and reading guides for heroes? It's honestly sometimes my teammates, or the other team is just really gud Edited February 16, 2015 by koKoRoro
fever 9,884 #10 Posted February 16, 2015 I hear that if you buy a cosmetic item set for a hero it improves your accuracy and last hitting by around 63%
