imagitronics 0 #1 Posted August 10, 2008 I'm pretty new to the LotusClan servers (although I am a paid subscriber) Last night while playing on your West Coast server I stumbled across someone who I'm pretty confident was cheating. I have a series of screenshots that show the invisible entity who killed me numerous times (even though I was nowhere NEAR the area where he is depicted) and the guy was playing a Pyro (real life friend verified this for me). I also spectated him standing in the spawn room as a Pyro. Now, I'm new here. I don't want to rile any feathers or tick anyone off. So I don't want to call this guy out publicly. If nobody cares, I'll drop it - but if you guys do try to stay on top of this sort of thing, then I'll post the screen shots. Thanks, Tim
PanDaru 0 #2 Posted August 10, 2008 Did you at any moment during that game minimize the client?
FUBAR That CAKE is a spy! 0 #3 Posted August 10, 2008 Yes, PanDaru is right, if you minimize your game during the match, some people or even the whole class can appear invisible or look like they are always swimming in water.
Nket 16 #4 Posted August 10, 2008 i hate when that happens, i get sniped by invis snipers and i have to restart game.
imagitronics 0 #5 Posted August 11, 2008 Yep. Sorry for the false alarm. I asked the same question on another forum who's server I am a member and got the same response. I run skype on this computer, and when people call me it minimizes the game... I'm *SO* glad I didn't call anyone out and piss the poor guy off! Thanks, Tim
KillerKeg 10 #6 Posted August 12, 2008 You can run TF2 at a lower resolution in a separate window and as long as you don't minimize the TF2 window you won't have the invis problem but you can still multitask.
coda 1 #7 Posted August 12, 2008 yea, I play tf2 in a window always. a lot of the time i'll be watching a tv show/movie on one side of the screen and tf2 on the other side.
friedrice 8 #8 Posted August 17, 2008 I usually play TF2 in my firefox browser. Acts pretty much like a flash game. Don't have to worry about those sort of pesky problems
