I bought it and it blew up, its a waste of money and is the buggiest game I've ever played. Wait for clear sky, then wait 1.5 months and see if its just as buggy by looking at reviews. I wasted 20 bucks just for the xcore.dll file to fuck EVERYTHING up. Every bug has around 10 different ways it could be caused.

I've got. It isn't buggy for me and runs fine. But I just don't like it. The story is meh, and the graphics suck.

Best to wait a couple of months after the second one comes out to see what the suckers who bought it as soon as it came out think.

Depends... I didn't waste 20 dollars for it and "dl"ed it for free :D I think it actually works better than the retail  My final vote:

Storyline: Fun, but kinda too "do what you want". I prefer slightly more linear action, but that's just me.

Graphics: Actually, they're pretty decent. Of course, you're talking to someone who was content playing the original DoD up until a year ago. And I'm using a shitty computer.

Weapons: Just had to put this in because I love the weapons. The weapons you can get are so f**king awesome! Especially the Obokan. The number of headshots I have actually manage to achieve are innumerable with this weapon.

Characters: Shabbiest part of the game. They don't have very much feeling put into them. Having to read what they say to you doesn't help much either.

AI: The AI isn't too bad... what bugs me is the silencer thing. I tried this out: kill the whole beginning camp with the silenced pistol. Just wait till someone passes a wall and kill them... no one notices his death scream, and if they see the body, they don't react. Took them out one by one. Must have been one of the funniest things I've ever done in that game.

i say YAY all the way, this game is a wonder, it's just a bit weird at 1st since you have to take into account that the guns CAN misfire and certainly will, which will probably piss you off at 1st. On my system it worked extremely well, and i just love the open-ended story, only thing that bugs me is there's no fast-travel function, so sometimes you walk a LOT.

The good thing about this game is the ways you can do things. Sure you can spend a really long time stacking artifacts and being godly, but nothing beats getting an assignation mission and scoutting out where they are and who they are with, checking out what weapons they have, then deciding if you want to kill him and run or take out the group. Its a game where you have to make it good......besides the fucking bugs.

I'm trying to decide what the next game I buy will be. I not sure if it will stalker, spore or what yet. so far stalker cuz I am partial to FPS, but spore dont sound like much fun if you dont own your own copy

Don't buy stalker in the first weeks, that is just inviting a bug to destroy you. MANY people have had bugs in the original and I don't doubt this game will be any better. Spore on the other hand, is worth buying, its from a sound company, looks like the gameplay will be revolutionary, and I really can't wait. So for you to compare stalker, a Ukrainian bug-filled survival game, to Spore, a carefully planned sim that has opened up a new horizon, is basically insulting.

Well, the release date for Clear Sky has been pushed back a whole 7 mores days, Steam waited until the release date was less than 7 hours away, the worst goddamn salesmanship i have ever seen, pretty much making me not want the game any more, so i guess ill try out spore, i need something to do im bored as fuck and its getting ridiculous

Are you kidding me? Watch the 30 minute video of spore and you'll get hooked. Its an evolution of sims, its combining different types of game play that allow early stages to be more survivalistic and sim is slowly integrated. Even then the entire game is about adjusting yourself to meet survival needs. So in a sense its like stalker, but with more gameplay and more professional. Oh, and don't double post you nub.

Well that's disappointing, although not unexpected. The first one wasn't buggy for me, but I thought the graphics and story could have used an improvement.

The trailer and previews for this looked good. Maybe it will be fixed in about 6 months or so, lol.

He is comparing the quality of gameplay and stability. Not comparing the gametype. Two totaly different games can both be stable and enjoyable. and I think if you read the post that is the point behind it.
