So I Guess They Changed Egypt

The new forward spawn on Egypt 1 is the stupidest fucking thing in the world. I don't see why they felt it was necessary for there even to be two exits (one from spawn, then one to field) with the stupid short tunnel in-between. If you're unlucky you end up with like 30+ seconds of respawn time because you get stuck between the two doors and the fucking ceiling caves in on you. It's a hilarious concept, I suppose, but ultimately unnecessary as fuck.

I thought there wasn't a forward spawn? I wouldn't remember, I only played the map once before it was made an official map and I never liked it. I only pay attention to the BLU spawns. ^____^

Speaking as a frequent sniper, I am less than thrilled with the changes to Egypt.

The fun thing to do is to get soldiers to rocket jump and hit the ceiling. Apparently the stone ceiling has charged with high voltage and will kill on contact. I usually say something like "Hey, there's a place only soldiers can get to by going through this ceiling"

Usually get someone killed once per game.

I like the changes to Egypt, which, as far as I can tell, have been designed to make it easier for offense early in the map (similar to goldrush/dustbowl's paradigm).

The final control point on egypt is still in a huge wide open area and easy to defend, so both BLU and RED get some breaks at different stages. Good design.
