Spy Taunt/kill While Cloaked.

hi,

have seen a couple players do this, destroy sentries/dispensers/teleporters while taunting in cloak. this guy did that earlier in the game, but this demo shows him killing a soldier while in cloak.

my tf2 spy tools don't allow this, and don't normally see others do it.

is this somehow legal, or bannable.

It's an exploit. Taunt with the Dead Ringer out before you're hit, and once you are hit, the taunt will continue while you're cloaked and receiving little damage. Can destroy guns or kill unaware people.

It's a legal exploit. I've used this myself, camping enemy teleporters and spawn doors and repeatedly tautning. It might get a few people that are completely oblivious, but after the first taunt kill (or even failed taunt kill) people catch on to your trickery and generally avoid it.

it seems i've seen a few variations of this, and will have to experiment with it to see exactly whats happening. when playing engineer class its important to know how to handle it.

if its legal, then fair enough.
